  1. Congratulations bud - beautiful reel!
  2. I ordered two of the 6" wakebaits that they just came out with. The top is the 7.5" Wake jr for comparison. Stripers are going to just tear these apart.
  3. Having to use super glue on a 2 piece $600.00 rod..BTW just got the FedX... Excellent. I'm glad you got the fedx. What the heck was I thinking??? Super glue.... electric tape should do the trick! ;D
  4. I hear you RW - jiust like a Stradic is almost as good as a Stella.
  5. 8 ft seems the be the new 7'3. I like the added length for casting. I know I can get a rod that is almost as good for half the price guys, but that is not the point....I dig exotic tackle.
  6. I'm going striper fishing this weekend - full report to follow.
  7. This rod is just insanely light for it's size. Here are a couple bad pics. It's a two piece design, but honestly once I put it together I will more than likely never take it apart. I'm tempted to glue it together to be honest. Retail for this rod is $599.00 I'm more than likely going to put one of my Alphas Ito reels on it.
  8. A cocky Department of Highways employee stopped at a farm and talked with an old farmer. He told the farmer, "I need to inspect your farm for a possible new road." The old farmer said, "OK, but don't go in that field." The Highways employee said,"I have the authority of the State Department of Highways to go where I want. See this card? I am allowed to go wherever I wish on your land." The old farmer rolled his eyes and went about his chores. Later,he heard loud screams and saw the man running for the fence with the farmer's prize bull close behind him. The bull was madder than a nest full of hornets and he was gaining on the employee at every step. The old farmer called out, "Show him your card!"
  9. I think its too much of a broad base - I am sure that bass fishing as a whole has taken off - I dont think that declining numbers validate the fact that hot new items are usually sold out or hard to find!
  10. Just caught this thread, Happy Birthday buddy! Hurry up and get your *** out here to California!
  11. They work for peacocks, why not bass?
  12. You should try one. As far as I'm concerned it's Zillion, Revo, and Cronarch as far as quality. In that order.
  13. That is an obvious photoshop - the top picture is not.
  14. PM me your number brokejaw - I'd like you to pick some up for me and I will send you money.
  15. Look good? That isn't even close guys. I bought some on Ebay a few weeks ago and let me tell you. They LOOK LIKE A REAL FISH. I am amazed at the action they have, not only does the tail shake but the head shakes as well. They are like CRACK for bass. I was at Clear Lake last week and it seemed like this was the only lure that they wanted, other than a wacky rig. They arent cheap, (on Ebay) but if you can find them for retail try them out and you'll see what I mean.
  16. I checked my schedule, are you free tomorrow?
  17. And suddenly you see this next to you. I'd crap in my wetsuit. (PICTURE FIXED. )
  18. Who makes it? For $20 I'd like one too for stripers. The time draws near......
  19. Doh! http://www.anglerscenter.com/spectra_daiwa_samurai.htm
  20. Raul, I am going to Guadalajara in September for a bday party - how far is that from you? PM me -
  21. Oh man these lures look good! I can't wait to get them out and give them a shot.
  22. After taking a look at the Steez offering, I still like the Stella better.
  23. This sounds like good stuff. Can't wait to try it out. http://www.daiwa.com/Lure/line_samurai.aspx
  24. You have to ask yourself. Does the fish know how much you spend on your tackle? I personally like the high end tackle like several other enthusiasts on this board. I know it does not make me a better fisherman, but an 8 oz rod AND reel combo is hard to put down when you start fishing.
