  1. Enjoy the concert tonight ?
  2. I really liked them. The had good stage presence, singer has a great voice, and liked how the engaged the crowd. Would see them again for sure.
  3. Maiden concert was awesome last night! Bruce and the Boys put on an amazing show - great energy, set design creative, and vocals tight. Good energy from the SD crowd.
  4. Enjoy some types of metal - concerts include Iron Maiden, Megadeath, Metallica, and Queensryche. Non-concert bands I also enjoy Dio, Sabbaton, Flotsam & Jetsam, British Lion, and some Slayer. Plan on seeing Maiden in South Dakota soon.
  5. Yep, we had the warnings and sirens going off here last night in Eastern Nebraska. Hope you’ll stay safe - not fun!
  6. I know I already said this in your post on Sunday, but awesome catch - that is a beauty!
  7. I was 11 years old and had just moved to the outskirts of the city. Next door neighbor family had a boy my age and over the next year I learned fishing from him. I remember catching my first fish and how excited I was. I convinced my Mom to let me get money out of my savings account to buy a “good” rod & reel. First bass from that same little Pond came on a rubber frog, and quickly learned the hard way that pickerel have very sharp teeth. Thank you John - hope life treated you well!
  8. Started in the early 1980’s in junior (youth) league in the house of HofF Wayne Webb - his Mom ran our youth league and I worked with his brother for private coaching, bowled in the very competitive Southern California JBT of the late 80’s, and bowled state and National events off and on since then. Now just an occasional bowler for fun as my knees forced me to stop in the competitive scratch leagues.
  9. Agreed - the Pond Magic are awesome. This is my primary SB.
  10. @WRB @Team9nine @Catt @A-Jay @Bluebasser86 Admittedly, haven’t really kept up with today’s anglers very well. 14 year old me would say Roland Martin, Bill Dance, Larry Nixon, Hank Parker, and Rick Clunn.
  11. You guys are braver than I will ever be - don’t know how you do it.
  12. Omaha checking in - welcome to the Boards!
  13. This comment by WRB might get overlooked, but that is pretty awesome to ski that distance!
  14. Welcome from a fellow Husker
  15. Don’t watch a lot of daily tv but have a few shows I’ve “binged” on: Doc Martin, Psych, and Merlin.
  16. Lots of great suggestions on here. For me, weightless Flukes and Boo-Yah Pond Magic spinnerbaits.
  17. To be honest, it has been decades since I have fished there. Life has taken me far away from that area. With that said, yes fishing out of a “yak” (or back in my day a canoe or John boat) was always better. While there is decent shore-fishing accessibility from Middleboro Ave, it really opens up once you get out beyond the dam area. I sure miss living in the area and wish I could have had all those fishing opportunities had I still been there. Good luck!
  18. Just wanted to chime in as a lurker from Omaha. Love reading the reports from the area I grew up in. Fond memories of Long Pond, Massasoit (Lake Rico), and Johnson’s Pond in Raynham where I caught my PB of 7-3 back in the late 80’s. So to all those that post on here, thank you and please keep it up.
  19. Good movie but great book.
  20. Thanks for sharing the link - it was very informative. Ned sure likes to use the term “piscatorial”.
  21. Not judging others here, but this me. Anytime I spend out of the office is my happy time. Catching a bass is just added bonus.
