  1. It is currently the high-end rod line that Dobyns puts out.
  2. Welcome! You’re right, this is THE thread for this unique little boat. Great ideas and discussion, enjoy.
  3. Not sure I can add more than what has already been shared, but I am loving my new Legend X. The balance and sensitivity is more than I hoped for.
  4. I have mine on St. Croix Legend X — love it.
  5. Nice to come out with a 5+ in early May!
  6. I recall him posting that he was leaving the forum because of religious reasons.
  7. Looking forward to the NBA playoffs. Rooting for the Jazz to do good things, but worried they will not even get past OKC.
  8. Outstanding -- congrats!
  9. Never tried it though I'm guessing it would work. For me, easier just to buy line that is already the color I want.
  10. A lot of really good suggestions for you to consider. If you catch the eBay sales just right, you can catch a deal. Just bought a NIB Shimano Stradic ci4+ for $159.00 on the last sale.
  11. It started to, but I stopped it just in time. I was a kid fishing from shore (dam area with deep drop off along the riprap) on a reservoir in Massachusetts. Had a plastic worm on a spinning rod -- cast it out and engaged the bail, then set it down to talk to some friends. Fish decided to eat the worm and then swim off. My friend starts pointing and yelling, so I turn around to see my rod/reel getting pulled into the water. I ran over and got it when it was about 3/4 of the way into the water. The fish really wasn't all that big but we sure had a good laugh. I still remember the moment many decades later.
  12. Bruins -- Its always the Bruins for me. With that said, I really have no idea. It has been far too long since I have really followed the NHL. Too many changes -- I don't even recognize a 1/3 of the league leaders. http://www.nhl.com/stats/leaders
  13. No worries — I agree it does seem odd. My son mocks me all the time about it. I’ve tried to use his left handed reel and just cannot use it.
  14. This what I do - feels very natural and comfortable for me. I still catch fish.
  15. So, what did you end up going with? I just bought my first St. Croix rod and went with the Legend X. Paired it up with a ci4+ and have only been able to fish it once -- loved it.
  16. Likely, but impressive pic nonetheless.
  17. Love to fish but cannot stand eating fish -- just not my thing. No judgement on those that do.
  18. Finally had a nice(ish) weather day here in Omaha after what has seemed like endless winter. Air temps were in mid 50's, with water temps that are still cold. First fish of the year came in at 4.19 pounds and was a little over 18". Caught on a Z-Man chatterbait.

Yep, this is the extent of it for me.
  20. As was mentioned, very stable for the areas these types of boats were designed for. This will be my 3rd season with the Pelican 10E and I love it. Allows me to get into some real remote, shallow areas that I would not otherwise be able to access.
  21. Very nice, still waiting to catch my first Omaha Bass of the season.
  22. I am a big fan of their "pond magic" spinnerbaits. I like the compact size and overall durability. Lower price doesn't hurt either.
  23. A few warm days in the Omaha area "forced" me to place a tackle/equipment order. When it was all said and done, ended up with a Shimano Stradic ci4+, St. Croix Legend X spinning rod, and a nice supply of finesse baits. Looking forward to fishing this year.
