  1. I echo the above posts. The line works great and have had no issues with breaking. A little line condition before each trip and no worries.
  2. Michigan is in the Northeast? Learn something new every day... That is only 30ish minutes from me - did not expect to see that (or any Nebraska pond/lake/stream/river/watering hole) on this list. I’ve had better luck fishing the subdivision pond near my house then I ever have at Wanahoo.
  3. ***Zombie Thread Alert*** Can’t pass up the opportunity to share. I bought the Dancin Eel back in the mid-80’s as a kid. Never did catch a fish on it. Found it in my tackle box recently.
  4. Congrats on the new reel. Sure a lot of Shimano love with the posts (and probably rightfully so), but I sure love my Daiwa Zillion SV TWS.
  5. Because I don’t wear sneakers very often, I stay well under $100. My current pair of New Balance were only $40, fit great and are comfy. Now my dress shoes are a totally different thing - i will spend $150 - $250 a pair for my Johnston Murphy or Allen Edmonds shoes.
  6. Yeah, that hurts. Hopefully you are in a location/depth that you can try to get it back.
  7. Yes, I’ve been looking at these as well. https://stcroixrods.com/collections/freshwater-legend/products/legend-glass-casting
  8. I had a Dodge Grand Caravan that I could put down the seats, lay down a tarp, and slide the Pelican Bass Raider 10e most of the way in. Used tie down rope to keep the hatch secure and it worked great.
  9. I have used the Flat Dawg by Berkley for years. Very fragile but I sure do well with them.
  10. One of the few times I am thankful to live in the cold Midwest. ?
  11. For the little ponds I fish, love using a Boo-Yah Pond Magic spinnerbait. Do very well with it.
  12. Very nice - look forward to your next adventure.
  13. I really have been impressed by the overall positive comments from Board members about Siebert Jigs. I want to try them but to be honest, a little overwhelmed by the choices. Having never really fished jigs before, tough for me to know even where to begin.
  14. Love my St. Croix Legend X - think it works well with my ci4+
  15. If I am going to honest with myself, I would say it is likely in the 75% - 80% range with a solid strike of landing the fish. My problem is how many bites am I actually missing...
  16. Baitcaster: Daiwa Zillion SV TWS Spinning: Shimano Stradic CI4+
  17. Nebraska checking in. Rivers are all flooding around here - will be an interesting next few days.
  18. Another snow / no school for the kids / drive into work will be horrible — day here in Omaha. Way too much snow this winter.
  19. I think you will find some good things here:
  20. Thanks for the explanation - very nice setup you have there.
  21. Very nice — how is the added weight? I sometimes struggle lugging around the one I have with no modifications.
  22. Very nice! Great way to start the year. Congrats
  23. Just wrapping up a blizzard here in Omaha - made for a fun couple of days but we at least did not lose power this time.
  24. West O here, welcome!
  25. Same here - always a real tree.
