  1. I’m good with catching a “dink.” As many on here have noted, this answer will vary by location, experience, life demands, etc... For me, my once a week (if I’m lucky) trip to a local pond usually lasts no more than 3 hours. I always hope to catch fish (and happy when I do), but just being away from the office and getting outside is already a good day for me. I generally will catch about 6+/- LMB in the 1 to 1 1/2 pound range. Biggest this year is “only” 3.47 pounds. Would I like to catch more/bigger fish? Sure, but my work schedule and my small Nebraska neighborhood ponds tend to work against me. Am I ready to go fishing again to catch a few more small fish? Absolutely!
  2. Man, that looks painful. Getting hooked in the fingernail area of the hand makes me think this was not a fun experience. Ouch!
  3. Not at all - don’t like bananas and always happy to catch a fish on the first cast.
  4. Very Nice - I’m here in Eastern Nebraska and love using my 10e. I’m sure you and your son will have a great time. If you haven’t already done so, take a look at the link I posted earlier in this thread. Lots of great info
  5. Thanks for sharing - some good things for me to think about.
  6. In addition to Texas rigging plastic worms, I also use small profile Spinnerbaits, flukes, and frogs for this type of situation.
  7. BooYah Pond Magic Spinnerbait - 3/16ths. https://www.booyahbaits.com/booyah-pond-magic
  8. Wow, that is one serious hook
  9. WRB - my link wasn’t meant to question any of your prior comments - hope you didn’t take it that way. Just wanted to add to the discussion the article.
  10. Thanks for the explanation - I guess that is why I get 0 search results. Very rarely visit the site using a computer, so I guess I am out of luck finding this mystery search bar with my phone.

  12. I must be doing something wrong as well. I get 0 return threads when I search from my phone.
  13. Same here, have a 10e and fish with two people often. At times can be a little tight, but still easily doable and safe/stable.
  14. Thanks for starting the NE thread. West O has been slow, though a few subdivision ponds have at least kept me from getting skunked. Hoping for a better week of fishing this week.
  15. Love TNG and DS9 - looking forward to the new show.
  16. Nearly 8PM in Omaha right now and we are still sitting at 93 with a “feels like” temp of 108. Far too hot for my liking.
  17. Creep factor 1000% - no thanks ?
  18. Wow, those are crazy numbers. What an amazing place!
  19. This was me last Saturday - happened most of the morning. Fairly calm morning, no real distractions, thought I was paying attention to the line, and still would be surprised to have it happen. I honestly never felt the bite or saw line movement. Clearly I need to follow the advice given in this thread.
  20. Yikes - that is a rough stretch there.
  21. What an awesome day - I’m sure great memories. Thanks for sharing!
  22. A little Chevy S-10 that I am able to haul my Pelican Bass Raider around.
