  1. The Jets are not so lowly anymore. The Jets defensive line is impressive. Zach is playing mistake free ball and mixing in the running game. The have some good tests coming up with the Patriots and the Bills.
  2. The Z-Man Willow Vibe with a TRD TicklerZ trailer was responsible for my one and only fish yesterday.
  3. My breakfast is Quaker plain instant oats with a tablespoon of Peanut Butter and a teaspoon of real maple syrup.
  4. Praying for your Dad. I hope it’s the kind they can take off. My Dad had some removed from his forehead years ago and has been fine since.
  5. 4” Senko rigged weightless is my go to. Winter, spring, summer or fall.
  6. What he said. I would add: Lots of saltwater fishing access in the lower part of the state. No alligators and little chance of running into venomous snakes.
  7. Wow! I have 2 wisdom teeth left and this scared me enough to consider getting them removed now. The other 2 came out only because one got infected and the other one cracked on a popcorn kernel.
  8. Catching what the water will give me. Some days it’s Bass others it’s Bluegill.
  9. Don’t depend too much on anyone in this world. Even your shadow leaves you when you are in darkness. The realest people don’t have a lot of friends.
  10. I carry $50 in cash for emergencies. Just last week I had to use it at McDonalds as they were taking cash only since the credit card machines were down. I was wondering why the drive though was going so fast. People that had no cash were dropping out of the line. I charge everything with a rewards card. The wife is an accountant and budgets so we pay off the cards in full each month.
  11. Fishing has been tough lately. Air and temps are dropping fast in these parts. Patience and persistence were the key to beating the skunk yesterday. Even Iggy is feeling the cold nights
  12. I have not. I tried the Crown Vanilla and it was ok. Someone gifted me Crown Maple, horrible although I was tempted to pour it on my pancakes.
  13. Newspaper article I read on the subject said cheaters use ice. Melts and leaves no trace. I watched the vids and I do believe if this happened in other states like NY, NJ and some areas down south those guys would not have made it to the parking lot…
  14. Canadian Whiskey year round. Crown Royal, Black Velvet or Canadian Mist The only seasonal alcohol I have is Samuel Adams offerings.
  15. I avoid docks like the plague. Admittedly I might miss some fish that hang out underneath them but I avoid accidentally damaging others property and potential arguments. Fishermen give Fishermen a bad name. For example when I shore fish I leave no trace. My fellow fishermen however leave line, hooks, broken lures, worm and chicken liver cups, etc. Same is said for dock fishing. No matter how respectful and accurate you might be the last weekend warrior that cruised by ripped a boat cover, chipped some paint, left hooks and line behind after getting hung up, etc.
  16. Hoodie weather this morning. The cold snap made fishing tough. I finally got a strike on a Texas rigged Z-Man CrawZ. One beats the ?
  17. Right now it is my Shimano Curado DC paired with my Empire Rods Royal 6’10” medium action rod. Other than that it is the rod and reel my Dad gave me. A 1st generation Abu Garcia Revo SX casting reel and a 6’ medium light St Croix Avid spinning rod. Here is the Avid paired with a Shimano Vanford 1000
  18. I used to love the Winn Grips until they got filthy and started peeling at the edges. It’s cork for me. Lew’s only has a few cork rods in their lineup. The Laser SG1 has a nice cork grip and is very inexpensive.
  19. Minnie in Minnie Mouse is short for Minerva. Cap’n Crunch full name is Horatio Magellan Crunch and he sails aboard the S.S. Guppy. the dot above the lower case letter i is called a tittle.
  20. I have a bladder the size of a dehydrated BB I go to bed between 9-10pm and wake up at 5am. 2 trips a night to use the bathroom.
  21. Comic books. My mom bought me my first comic book before I could read. I would look at the pictures and one day I asked her what the white balloons were in every panel. She told me that’s words in there the characters are talking to each other. I asked her to read them to me day after day. She eventually got some flash cards and taught me how to read. That was before kindergarten for me. I have bought comics ever since. My wife and I will watch a show like Pawn Stars and someone comes in to sell a rare comic with the first appearance of a character. When my wife hears how much the comic is worth she asks me if I have it in my collection. The true answer 9 out of 10 times is yes, but for her I say maybe… She would want me to dig it out sell it and put up a fence for the dog ?
  22. I won’t hold a fish at a 45 degree angle for a pic. I will however take a pic of one lying on the ground. Often when bank fishing with light line I have to land a fish by getting in the shallowest of waters to lip it or beach it if all else fails. I try and take my pics and release a fish as fast as possible. If it’s bleeding it goes back immediately with no pic.
  23. Bank mostly, followed by kayak and rarely by boat.
  24. Fall fishing is here. Air temps in the mid 40’s when I arrived at my spot. I have been fishing a Senko rigged weightless a lot this year. It didn’t disappoint me this morning on the river. Caught a 19” Smallmouth Bass weighing in at 3 pounds.
