  1. @ol'crickety, I’ve got tons more photos to share, I know you will enjoy them
  2. Northern swing pics. Isle royale and voyaguers national parks. Probably hammer out a separate report. Thought it was going to be all pike but finally caught 2 bass. first bass , fluke in shallow water with st croix rod seviin reel and 33 lb seaguar JDM braid, gamakatsu nano alpha hook second bass, fluke on first throw this morning same spot back by that pontoon boat. Rolled out of bed at the rental in the same clothes as yesterday and BAM! He grabbed it off the surface got lots of pike too, here’s some samples. They are delicious. Had to hike a few miles with them On a stick at isle royale 😂
  3. They work dead and even cut in half. I was jigging a dead bluegill for gar the other day and a 2 lb bass appeared from nowhere and engulfed it. Also saw my buddy catch an 8 lb bass with a bluegill cut in half before you are on the right track with all your assumptions, big hook in the back is a good way to keep them lively for longer. Green sunfish are excellent bait
  4. Lots of swallows will do that, and chimney swift is a type of swallow. You were on the right track !
  5. @Team9nine, I’m sure you’ve fished with live hellgramite somewhere along the way, the nymph form of a Dobson fly. One of the most magical baits I’ve ever used
  6. Dobson fly and a hex?
  7. Actually two women kayaking ended up in a humpback whales mouth. They don’t swallow large objects due to the baleen so they were spat back out might’ve been the video @slonezp linked
  8. I stayed in eau Claire last week and loved it, we were at the oxbow hotel
  9. Saw a pelican in rainy lake near international falls, MN yesterday
  10. Great to hear she’s back home! 🙏
  11. I’m the worst, live and die with the worm
  12. Happy birthday!!!!! I’d give ya a 20 lb bass for a present if I had one
  13. Those 6-7 lbers in cypress trees definitely love a trick worm!!! Got one that way myself years ago similar size to the one @Koz caught down in south Alabama that’s about the only thing I can fish in a cypress jungle without getting hung up . Tried flipping jigs inbetween them and lost like $20 worth of them in an afternoon
  14. Nice ! Looks like East TN north chapter
  15. As long as your hand isn’t near the tail that’s a legal move. The post is on here somewhere of a guy in TX that kept a bass tail in his gear and made the fish appear longer in photos, thus that rule was born
  16. I’ve never seen a study done but I would bet that’s why you have so many healthy bass in your waters. Common Carp are useless scum
  17. Everybody around here says copperhead smells like cucumber. I’ve never smelled that and I’ve been close to them plenty but I did smell cucumber once walking thru the woods. Didn’t see a copperhead but I started walking faster anyhow
