  1. They do that here too……. Just not when I throw them
  2. It’s no biggie, poison ivy and I have a symbiosis nowadays. I let some of it live on my skin as long as it doesn’t take over my entirety like it used to when I was a kid
  3. My house moms house im jealous of you north country boys, I been mowing since been mowing since been mowing . Got 5 yards to keep up with, poison ivy on my arms and neck from the weedeater
  4. We went to see them Saturday night and they never showed, apparently it was only Friday here
  5. Our dogs ate so many cicadas this weekend, they wouldn’t quit . I had to pick Bo up and carry him inside, stubborn hound
  6. Don’t you raise thoroughbred?
  7. Those people are known as halfbacks. They moved from the north to Florida, then moved halfway back Ironically that photo looks like East TN
  8. Just out of curiosity, why are you trying braid ? Personally I just like it for catfishing and bass fishing with frogs
  9. 1: drawing a blank 2: can’t think of anything 3: N/A 4: answer unclear 5: ask again later
  10. Good luck @Koz! Bring toilet paper if you eat at the Chinese buffet in scottsboro the night before…… also the wal mart there has more lures than any other one I have ever been to, it’s like a bass pro shop
  11. All the more reason to catch your own fish and grow your own veggies. hillbillies have been on this program for a long time, weren’t that many grocery stores two generations ago. Our elders only went to the store for sugar to make moonshine and flour to make biscuits 😂
  12. I love catching Alabama bass, although there aren’t many in my area. @Woody B fishes the spottiest waters around and he caught an 8 lb largemouth the other day….. 😂 when you get a hold of a 3-4 lb Alabama bass on the Alabama River, you may never want to target anything else. They are as mean and as fast as they come
  13. I’ve got dozens of fishing partners, going with 2-3 after work today. Back when I worked as a guide, you had to learn to be able to spend time on the water with anybody. @whitwolf, i have taught my wife to fly fish but 99% of the time, “you can’t tell her nothin” 😂 😂
  14. I’ll take my chances with my river fish over whatever they are inspecting from god knows cesspool. They are worried about cash money not my personal safety. People get violently ill off grocery store lettuce and spinach more than anything
  15. @Woody B, isn’t that nice of the state to watch over us. Maybe they should test some food at the grocery store 😂
  16. I also use eagle claw round ball jig heads with a wire weed guard
  17. I love fishing , bank dock or boat. But getting my lures stuck over and over while fishing off the bank does drive me bonkers. I’ve got a small fortune in jigheads and cast nets stuck in the water below ft loudoun dam. Although one time I was there in my boat and got stuck. Pulled up a ball of line with 20-30 striper jigs stuck in it 😂 It would take me too long to find all my bank fishing pics but the last one that sticks out in my mind was smallmouth on Christmas Day 2023, even better when you are standing in your own yard bank fishing
  18. They are all good eating. Had some at a wedding last night haha Well, when they spawn they get into a rock cave or undercut bank and bunker down. Sounds to me like they are eating not spawning 😂
  19. The ole common carp were chasing cicadas all weekend so we went after them. My wife loves fly fishing and a cicada hatch is about the only time the silly things actually chase any flies or lures so we got our fill , works almost immediately most of the time. you can hear the cicadas in the video. I had a guy fish by my dock and ask me if that was the pump house a mile a way making all that noise 😂 I’ll also include a shorter failure video 😂
  20. Possum pie ? 🥧
  21. Thats was what I thought at first glance , but the scales look somewhat small? Not sure
  22. Mixed bag to boot!! Cool bridge for sure
  23. Supposedly redhorse is good food according to the old books I read as a kid, never had the guts to try it myself. Well that and I catch about one per decade
  24. American or silver redhorse ? Do they have fall fish in Michigan? Don’t know if they get that big either, first guess without opening the book is redhorse
