Are Irods poor quality? I just got a Genesis III Swimbait Jr and the Eva foam feels extremely cheap
No that’s what happens when you have to walk into a hospital or doctors office, I don’t think that stuff lives out on the lake

When I turned 18 and moved out on my own, I was kind of obsessed with catching and freezing fish and avoided groceries. Now I’ve learned. I still freeze some but not for long Now the deer I have kept a while and the trick I mentioned above works for a long time

How cool is this? Grow your own bamboo fly rod!
You can make your own bamboo rod for low cost, the time is where the cost comes in. It’s just 6 equilateral triangles wrapped together, the rest is up to you. My buddy made one and caught a nice hybrid with it

Musky video
I just always associated salmon with jumping a dam not a musky . They “porpoise “ where I fish around them, never seen one jump now paddlefish, gar, and carp, they jump all day and night

Bait Porn
This is a very common problem in fly tying for trout. The prettiest flies don’t fish well, drab dull nymphs are fish catching machines. Are you trying to catch fish or people? Are you the bait monkey or the tournament winner? my friend Tommy that camps with us in Alabama will usually catch 2-3 bass a week, he asks for suggestions. We give him a few, then he says “I like to throw green pumpkin, but the fish hate it” ?

I used up a roll pretty quick with white bass, and the roll was like $40. My new strategy is small ziplocks, eat it faster and keep less, always give you an excuse to fish more often

Holy beef Batman when is supper???!!! when my friends kill a deer we wrap with plastic and then butcher paper, worked better than vacuum seal. I have a vacuum sealer I got for Christmas but the bags cost more than food Try Saran wrap then butcher paper instead, we like it way better

I’ve eaten some freezer burned food, sometimes you just have to embrace the suck, it’s better than throwing it away and not eating. like ripped up jeans, it’s a minor starvation badge

The HYBRID bass.
The don’t fight as hard as a striper but close. Just a white bass on steroids. Bluefish fight harder than striper so tuna would be several leagues above hybrids. We have some of them up to 20 lbs, my buddy brought these two into my boat one day. We were catching 1-2 lb white bass by the dozens with little topwater. He set the hook on the big one and my boat started moving quite rapidly
