Caught some decent fish a jig/grub/fluke while watching the rod and finally got a channel cat today. Lost something massive yesterday. And I got to watch a barge go by too, always cool

All the time, happened twice at two different locations today haha. I took some video of them jumping last night. they also make a spring run up rivers where it’s almost annoying how many you get . Most people despise them that same catfisherman I mentioned also catches many Muskie with them as live bait

Absolutely. A local catfisherman broke the world record a couple times, I’ve come close a few times

They catch them with their mouth and forelimbs! (Sorry couldn’t resist). It’s kill or starve in the world of a carnivore, failure isn’t an option

The pulleys I posted work great, doesn’t take much strength I didn’t get them at harbor freight though, that’s a recipe for 90 lb boat to the dome

The answer will shock you: a wolf hound. my 3 dogs track and go after deer in my yard like crazy but they are starting to calm down a little bit (one of them is part wolf hound) dog hunting for deer was a tradition in TN just like VA, but has now been outlawed for several years
