  1. I use bait caster for drop shot often in winter because my spinning reels are rigged up for what I’m casting. Special spools and micro guides not required if you’re just dropping it. I usually tie a 6 lb leader onto whatever I’ve got on the baitcaster and just drop it down vertically.
  2. It’s just like fishing with a worm on the bottom except you hook more of the bites (and don’t move it nearly as much)
  3. Falls and Jordan there around Raleigh? Seems like they are supposed to be very good spring time fishing for big LM
  4. That could be the problem……
  5. This is what I’ve got. So far I’ve used it for jerkbaits crankbaits Chatterbait spinnerbaits and even some smaller jigs like a 3/8 oz bitsy flip. I think I also tossed some jighead swimbaits 1/4 oz and up, quite the versatile rod. I’ve never used the victory so I can’t say which is more sensitive. It casts super easy and is lightweight for having glass in there. It seems perfect for any moving bait but I’ve been having fun getting jig bites with it. I have 15 lb invisix on there and it goes BOINGGG when a bass sucks it up
  6. Hold onto your……..
  7. I was gonna say that but I couldn’t spell it…….. it always makes me laugh when I have to extract some nasty dead creature out of a customers wall and they ask me why it died. I usually say something like “you’re welcome to sort through that puddle of mess and see what you can determine “
  8. Yeah I was just messin with ya, only the shadow knows at this point. Little smelly when ya get close.
  9. Well, did you conduct a thorough autopsy? nice catches
  10. Wal mart batteries are hard to fry, typically takes me 5 years im currently priced out of the trolling motor game so I’m paddling off the bow haha the results have been quite surprising so far, fish seem to like it
  11. I watched it many times on NFL films with Steve Sabol
  12. Yep. Like I tried to say in another thread and it didn’t come out so well, what you say is far more important than what you eat
  13. They actually stock some trout in there so I’m guessing it’s pretty cold. If you mean November like tomorrow, you could get away with it. I would definitely take waders
  14. My buddy with a touring kayak chases down the big boats when they go by and ramps their waves for fun haha
  15. It’s actually not so bad because the canoe climbs up and over the waves instead of the waves climbing into the boat
  16. They are pretty easy in the canoe, just point the nose at the waves . Canoe is designed to go down big waves in rapids. we have people that drive boats from Knoxville to the gulf, around the tip of florida, up the east coast into the Saint Lawrence River then come thru the Great Lakes, down the Mississippi, back up the Ohio to the Tennessee and come all the way back home. It’s called the great loop. You could fit a dozen wake boats in a single boat they use for that!
  17. No trouble at all. Lot easier than a waterfall
  18. This forum doesn’t exist without sponsors? So without that, there is nowhere to share your info
  19. That’s the only part of guntersville you will be the only boat haha
  20. I’d say that craw is long gone from mister largie, it doesn’t take long
