Yeah I’ve caught a pile of fish below that dam. Lots of striper mostly all on topwater, big LM and SM, walleye, catfish, etc I’ve got one other buddy that kayak fishes there and I’ve seen many others, I guess you’re not totally crazy….. hahaha If striper fishing in canoe I would definitely keep the drag loose so the sudden runs don’t rock the boat. Just go along for the ride like mentioned above I guess

I have quiet fishing in several places but the doggone smallmouth love the main channel. The ones I caught today were amongst a ton of double decker yachts and pontoons again haha, sea legs……. I almost took a few waves over the bow but stayed dry Thanks buddy it’s nothing fancy and needs some fresh lumber here and there but it’ll do . @Blue Raider Bobis scheduled to do all the carpentry any day now while @Jigfishn10supervises. Need an entire back deck replaced too, they’ll have it done by the end of the week………

My canoe is very stable and I can stand up in it for extended periods. It’s also aluminum so it can take a beating. It’s loud though, not too sneaky when you drop a sinker in there. Wind is certainly a challenge
