  1. 6 lb eagle claw clear mono. I put it on all my spinning rods.
  2. @Bluebasser86has a video of one slamming a popper, one of the most violent strikes I’ve seen
  3. I don’t really pay attention to any of it, I think it’s regional. You could spend all day reading water and fishing current breaks in fast water, but some days they just ain’t there. Some days they are deep, some days they are shallow. Some days they are deep at 8 am and shallow at noon, then back deep by supper time. They don’t follow rules (at least where I go)
  4. I love spots, I hope they invade anywhere I go. Our DNR thinks they are going to ruin everything, but they always take that stance no matter the invader. They magically get millions of dollars donated to the “cause” when there’s a “threat” Meanwhile they’ve never eliminated a threat, just cashed checks i will gladly fry any amount of spotted bass for anyone that wants them gone!
  5. You’ll probably have that again next tourney on the mighty mississip too!
  6. Austin Felix, aka the sleepy assassin, won by about 3 lbs basstrak was fairly accurate this time, no trees to block the cell signal maybe haha
  7. 4.25” bait? I think I would use the size 1 hook in the nose
  8. We were walking around Dicks house of sport with the family, trying to keep my 6 year old niece entertained. They ended up buying me some birthday swag, I’m counting the hat as “fishing tackle”
  9. He’s braver than I am !
  10. I think @Deephaven bakes enough bread to feed this whole website
  11. Don’t catch, don’t eat! ok maybe a few spoonfuls of peanut butter
  12. Thanks! I asked the mother in law if it was ok if they ride back there. She said yes as long as you run a leaf blower back there after it’s all said and done haha i can’t imagine trying to control a pack o dogs as big as you’ve got!
  13. The wolf pack got to ride in the grandparents truck, they like the back seat
  14. You need a zorro shirt! Nice one
  15. It’s a lot longer journey , but we have a restaurant/seafood market and the owner flies down to the gulf every other day I think and loads up. He used to drive it when he first started out
  16. We do a two day camp float on the big south fork of the Cumberland often. They circle the canoe as soon as you start and never leave you alone until the trip is over. We give extra food rations to anyone that kills a horsefly haha
  17. Clunn weighed in a LM on day 1 haha tyler rivet is dragging a Carolina rig on a baitcaster so someone doesn’t post it’s only drop shots marc Frazier just boat a 4-5 lber also with Carolina rig on the contrary, Robertson just let a fish pull drag off his spinning reel forever and ever, then it came off
  18. Zorro makes jigs too
  19. Love duck confit fries, they have them at the best burger spot in Knoxville, stock and barrel
  20. My home city of Knoxville has been at the top of such lists recently, I think I posted a link somewhere earlier in this thread. Seems like a shooting or two every single night
  21. Ain’t no curb where he lives haha. I think it’s cow/goat trails leading in there
  22. Snapped a pic of the lodge this morning, this one is less than a year old. Just a pup, of course I’ve already got rust on it a few times
  23. I was also completely shocked in 2019, I told my buddies they were all getting played when they said it was coming here. Lots of better fisheries all around, but I guess it’s cool when they go somewhere with tough fishing. And the tiny boat launch with no parking, that was an issue in the regular season event in 2021, several anglers were about 30 minutes late because of the massive backup at the ramp. Honestly the ramp was the main reason I didn’t believe they were coming in ‘19 but they opened up a big fenced in field for parking that was previously closed off now if they allowed competitors to go way up the rivers from Knoxville, there would be some big bags of smallies (and maybe a sunken boat or 3)
  24. Winter Greenhouse corn just ain’t the same
