Staying wet is good when it’s hot. Like I said , wetter is colder 100% of the time. If it’s really really hot I jump in the water @Crow Horse, my farmers tan disagrees with that rating of a cotton T shirt 😂 . Pale as a ghost where my shirt goes

Had to cut the grass at the lakehouse, of course I took a boat. New prop pushed me up to 18 mph . Got the triple crown of bass (LMB, SMB, and spot) and of course the SMB was the bigger one. Caught it deep with a Texas rig among some massive yacht waves, pretty interesting in a 14 footer here’s where I got the smallie, it’s fairly swift current and a rapid drop from 0 to 35 to 50 feet deep. and here’s what it hit , Texas rig on Okuma combo with seaguar 40 lb braid to pounce 12 lb leader

Found another of the old ones , had a memorial and tossed it in the municipal garbage can

Friday evening I took my neighbors son fishing after work. I caught 5-6 species of fish with a 2 inch curly tail grub on a dart head (SMB, yellow perch, redear, redbreast, rock bass, and I can’t recall if I got a bluegill or not ). He was getting lots of bites but not connecting , I I finally set him up with a panther martin and he caught 3 redbreast and a bluegill really quick Saturday we fished some primo waters but it just wasn’t happening, I got a smallie and a spot and my buddy got a drum. My new propeller made an unbelievable difference though! It smoothed out the way the motor runs and went way faster and shallower than before, I’ve been a stick in the mud for a decade , should have tried a new prop a long time ago

I live in a subtropical rainforest, usually approaching 100% relative humidity. Cotton is king. Tried SPF sun hoodie on Sunday and could barely breathe

It’s absolutely wild how much better the engine runs with a fresh prop. I haven’t thrown water like that in a decade. Was going 13-14 mph upstream, used to go 10 mph with the dinged ones

got a 7.5” and two 8” for around $50 total for my mud motor. I was down to my last one and it’s chewed up significantly (no mud where I fish, only rocks 😂). I got 4 back in around 2013 and they lasted me til now , gotta have backup tho

It was violent thunderstorms and downpours right when I got home from work at 5…… waited it out, folded some clothes, weedeated the back yard…… finally the lightning went away around 7:30. Me and Josh hit the river for the last two hours of daylight and he was rewarded with a nice 17.75 inch SMB a guy at work has been inviting me to kayak tournaments and gave me a measuring board, holy smokes is it hard to get a smallie to close its mouth. The first ten attempts looked like this and the fish went all over creation, the CPR business is hard on a fish 😂 finally got it measured after it flopped on every inch of my boat, can’t imagine that in a kayak And we got a couple blue mcgillis
