  1. @FloridaFishinFool, I’ve got a 1957 Cherokee aluminum boat with airplane rivets in it, tough jokers. Transom replacement nearly killed me haha
  2. I don’t know or care why but I thoroughly enjoy it
  3. This one is so easy for me Ray Wylie Hubbard
  4. It actually does 😂
  5. Been pondering on some summer striper fishing……. So I checked the DeepDive app to see how much water was coming out of Ft Loudon dam into Watts Bar lake. As it turns out, they have a function that tells you how much flow is running thru the entire system (two dams and several free flowing tributaries). I used to have to pull up two different websites and from there, click 2-3 different gauge sites. Now I can access all the info in one app
  6. Paddled around with my buddy Josh Thursday evening. Water was pretty swift but we made it a mile of so upstream and drifted back down to the ramp. I picked off two largemouth and a spotted bass (I believe the Kentucky variety). One of the largemouth was well fed. The smaller plano box (3500) fits nicely onto my cooler for short evening trips in the canoe The blue herons definitely weren’t afraid of Josh
  7. Yes, unfortunately they do. And it’s not just large cities, happens in small towns as well
  8. Those things fight like the devil
  9. I was thinking about how hard that channel cat fought
  10. Fished a 63 degree river again last night, felt like a walk in cooler. Air temp was upper 90s and didn’t sweat a drop once we entered that cold water
  11. Awesome! My kind of excursion
  12. You must be from PA? Haha we don’t have liquor at gas stations but they sure do in the Midwest
  13. Kona big waves are indeed awesome
  14. Not bad, just hot. It’s weather, might as well enjoy it all because you can’t change it. Disliking the conditions outside is setting yourself up for a bad day
  15. I drive my wife’s old Honda fit to work and back, it’s got 323,000 miles and runs like a sewing machine She got a newer outback last summer because she didn’t trust the Honda to make it to our vacation spot in northern MN/MI. I’d jump in that Honda and drive it to California, it’s a good engine
  16. I would get stuck on bottom first 10 minutes and break off
  17. My beagle/basset will find the sunniest hottest spot in the yard and lay down in the dirt, his ears cover up eyes like sunglasses. The other two like shade and AC and box fans he does it inside too
  18. Nice to meet you Maggie! I love people and dogs
  19. My latest hand control TM is fairly easy to point into the wind or current and set on low speed, almost a spot lock 😂 I love it because you don’t have to keep your foot on the pedal (or hand on the TM grip)
  20. I still just go fishing like I always have. I have found some good spots with electronics , one of them downright magical for a couple winters, but it hasn’t “changed the way I fish” You can waste a whole lot of time trying to catch marked fish when you could have been just fishing along like always. I took the depth finder off the front of my boat, still keep one at console. My canoe and kayaks are bare bones
  21. Not much for black bass. Helps a lot with staging white bass in winter
  22. Shallow water smallies love the hot sun, they will smash a buzzbait at noon with air temps above 90
  23. My neighbors are also getting a new roof. Meanwhile my dogs are inside chilling in the AC, hopefully behaving . They usually roam the backyard and sleep on the porch in front of a fan. Little too hot today , once again the dogs have it better than us humans 😂
  24. My transom mount trolling motor is offended by your vernacular
  25. “Soap is inherently clean” -folks at the campground “I’d still much rather use the bar I brought” -me
