  1. Here’s a beautiful machine one of our party brought camping this week #thingsyoucantdriveinnewyork
  2. Not many, if any. Soddy daisy has a few backwater areas but a bass boat can go just about anywhere a yak can
  3. I’m waiting for winter to start so I can catch big smallies again ........ going to be a while
  4. Boat traffic has turned on a bite for me many times : the deep bite and the rip rap. Waves smashing rip rap is always a good spot and overhead traffic can drive fish down deep, right where I want them. I go fishing no matter what other people are doing, ain’t gonna let them slow me down. The best part about holidays is getting off work (although I don’t always get off work, I think I’ve got to work Sunday )
  5. That comes up a lot around here too. Many people swear that smallmouth swim upstream like a salmon to spawn. I suppose that’s possible but striper and white bass do that and they are always stacked up thick below dams, smallmouth not so much.
  6. You could chug a quart of racing fuel before you hop into the yak
  7. Tube all the way my buddy left a z man tube on my console that ate a hole in it...........
  8. Got one on a frog at 5:30 am, no bites from then until 8. Then I got a nice one maybe pushing 3 lbs with a weightless worm against a cypress tree
  9. Here’s mine, most excellent of a troller. Worth more than $100 to me
  10. Pro tournament angler crashed his wrapped truck and rig , just posting to get some good thoughts headed his way
  11. Mk maxum is a great trolling motor, should fetch 200 or so. It’s what I use many times a week, I got mine for $250 used 3-4 years ago Force is the new garmin trolling motor. Bout three grand I thought
  12. Welcome to the club . Tying a knot is far easier than opening and closing a clip
  13. I like the big motor, but over 3 mph is a little fast. I have caught big smallies trolling 50 degree water downstream at 3.0 mph but I like 1.7 going upstream if possible
  14. Does it come in “day after chili night” color
  15. I feel as though @Bankc @bulldog1935 and @Retiredguns have properly diagnosed my problem. The same things happens when I sit behind a steering wheel for more than an hour or two straight so it just about has to be the restriction of movement.
  16. That’s fairly astute, also add 10 to predicted wind speed
  17. So they named it after poo?
  18. Gas or electric? In calm water, 2.3 mph is as slow as I can go. But that’s a good speed, it works. I like 10-12 feet deep, a squarebill will slam into the bottom and trigger bites
  19. How on earth do you know a thunderstorm is coming? Meteorologists sure don’t
  20. Round bend hooks are good, they are all I ever use
  21. Probably fell out of the bottom of your shoe.......
  22. I’m the worst at stopping fishing....... sweet spot!
