Teckel sprinker and h20 express popping frog have both called up the biggest largemouth I’ve hooked in a while last summer so I will say they are my top 2. Unfortunately I lost both fish at the boat after long fights and several jumps. Not the frogs fault though
  2. Strike king bitsy tube is my favorite. I’ve never noticed or cared if the tails clumped together but the fish eat them year after year after year
  3. I’ve seen baby dolls displayed in similar fashion in the backwater rivers, I’m glad my brain functions normally
  4. Reckon they buzzer bite will pick up ? Should be good during the heat
  5. I’ve caught a couple humans, a duck, some rocks, and an onion sack full of mud that, while trying to release, I hooked my thumb
  6. Nice fish!
  7. I see a lot of pros reeling them just under the surface and you can see the swirl when they bite! It always seems like a no doubter when you get bit on swim jig
  8. I'm not from the area and have never fished there but after watching some YouTube of recent pros and others fishing in MichiganWisconsin, I would rig up some drop shots! The only fishing I've done in Michigan was Sept and the fish were pretty shallow and biting hard. I assumed they were moving sballow for fall ....... That being said, I saw a video of recent lake Michigan action on topwater. Post spawn VERY shallow SMB, so maybe they never leave the shallows or haven't left them yet
  9. I think someone weighed in several hours early at the BASs st Lawrence this weekend because his fish were struggling
  10. Was very cool to watch live on TV and not a cell phone
  11. Just keep fishing and ignore everyone else. I see a lot of post from folks talking about what other fishermen are doing, I never look at anyone else when I’m fishing
  12. @Jermination gave me a ned style head with a weedguard that looked like strips of bicycle brake cable in February and I still have it. Dragged it all through the Norris rocks and a few other places, it was pretty good. He did say a big fish broke the hook off it though
  13. Where you and I fish, rigging it with open hook is quite problematic haha. Any weedless option is good, I can only swim the open hook setup off the bottom
  14. I use part of a 2x4. I’ve taken my boat on 6 hour one way journeys several times, it seems to work fine
  15. Wall mart was selling the strike king ones for $2.50 and they came with two rage tail menace trailers. I like them!
  16. Ugly sticks are out of my price range hahaha
  17. Yes, and a true ned rig is supposed to use elaztech z man baits but I know you! You’re slapping a yamamoto on it. I was just offering a cheaper suggestion for the OP, I don’t think the fish care what shape the jig head is. Especially when swimming it, which is also apparently the proper ned method as opposed to bottom dragging
  18. I think it’s arkies, I got some similar big bite baits ones as well. That’s the tail portion of a trick worm, I can’t mentally, or sometimes physically, pay full price for half worms (TRDs). I just find ripped ones on the floor of the boat
  19. 10 pack for $1.99
  20. It appears this is all they say on them, usually $12.99.
  21. I wish I had pictures of the ones I’ve busted, it looks pretty funny. You reel in a toothpick with two trebles
  22. I do not approve of this purchase
  23. No worries, we still have Tommy lee Jones and will smith to protect us
