  1. You mean that doesn't happen where you live?
  2. I would use whatever the guide ties on for me!
  3. That's about all you ever need anywhere!
  4. In addition to the suggestions above, if he was close enough to throw a rock, maybe throw a cast with a floating topwater and mono across his path. It may or may not teach him a lesson about replacing seals and courteous boating. Just make sure it’s cheap line and a cheap lure.
  5. I hope everybody warms up sooner than expected, we are looking a ok for the next couple days with hopefully rapidly receding water
  6. This is always the plan but not always possible
  7. Nice job! Good luck on Ky lake! It will be rolling fast
  8. Indeed. Rivers and lakes are one and the same in TN. Right now the upper ends of the lakes are moving about 4 mph
  9. Gar is the best of them all, no kidding
  10. Because they are 90 percent ribcage is my reason
  11. Zebra mussels= giant smallmouth! I see why they have the rules but when you said not being able to let minnows go in the same water you caught them in is where I smelled California
  12. It's only 12 days away? Heck yeah !!!!
  13. That sounds dangerously close to a California type regulation
  14. We have a 500 year flood every six years in East Tennessee haha. I think they should look into their classification system
  15. Congrats!!!
  16. Yes thankfully Cherokee and Douglas still have room. Almost everything else got topped off . I had buddies catching trout in gin clear water right below Cherokee dam yesterday but they are pumping water now. Cherokee is predicted to start dropping in 3 days, I'm guessing they will open up the gates
  17. Looks like the Tennessee river in Knoxville started dropping at 7 pm last night. My boss said in 1994 he was taking catfish out of his yard and throwing back into the river, according to him this was far less severe but he said his dock was underwater a few inches yesterday. He's always trying to collect driftwood and sell it haha
  18. Yeah it was a lot worse than I thought it would be! I think Pickwick dam was pumping 550,000 cfs or something crazy
  19. Congrats!!!!
  20. Yeah that fish would have broken me off going away. Congrats to the lucky anglers
  21. In the words of Steve Goodman ...... GO CUBS GO!!!
  22. ^wow. First time seeing the sunshine in several days here! The wind is howling so I fear I may be grounded for today.
  23. Our lake smallmouth fight really hard because they can dive deep, something not really possible in the rivers. They go from jumping into the air to 15 feet down really quick
