Senkos are my crutch. I would always give up on everything else after a handful of casts and grab a Senko to fish. I gave up the Senko years ago, but this is all the wife will use. Mother’s Day is coming up, I wonder how well she’d like a 100 watermelon Senkos?

The thread about protecting ourselves from the sun got me thinking. Now that spring is hear construction season or ‘dig season’ as we call it is here. This past Friday we were doing a damage investigation on a gas main that was hit and one of the guys with me was on the side of the road and a car went flying by him less than 18” from taking him out. A few months ago I was out with a utility crew and a truck towing a trailer went flying by and the trailer hit one of our cones and it flew between two of us missing us by mere inches! This morning I was doing a pre construction walkthrough and I lost count how many people went past the road closed signs only to turn around after they realized they weren’t being lied to by signs that clearly said “Road Closed”. We all have places to go and things to do, but please remind yourselves and remind others to follow the signs, if you see blinking lights slow down or move over. If the road is closed I promise you it is for a reason. Thank you.

Yep, looking chilly here too. Mid week will see a warm up to the mid 50’s but rain, storms, and very windy so there’s that.

I’ve got it made. The wife likes to fish and I’m not ashamed to say her PB is bigger than mine. In the warmer months it’s often our date night. My son fishes with me on Saturday and Sunday (when I’m not working).
