  1. I started a post a couple days ago about the Whopper Plopper and how unsuccessful I’ve been with it. While I think I’m cursed with the Plopper, truth be told the frog has been super unproductive for me as well. Anyone that has been a regular on here knows a top water frog bite is my favorite presentation so it’s been extremely painful these past couple years! I don’t have the answer but it’s killing me! I have adapted and I now catch them flipping a jig or weighted T-rig, but man do I want that frog bite back!
  2. While these wader were designed for the hunter in mind, they fit the bill for angler too. They’re well built, rugged and comfortable. All of these factors and mix in neoprene, you’d expect a high price tag. Like with everything Highsea, you get all of that at an affordable price!
  3. Maggie continues to do great! She thinks she’s a lap dog. I’m a push over!
  4. Better than dealing with a monocle.
  5. At one time I had two Kast King rods. One broke the first trip out and due to Covid they said they’d couldn’t replace it. I’ll never buy another Kast King rod. Their reels I’ve been happy with them. I don’t use them on a regular basis but they’ve held up.
  6. First thing that popped in my head when I read this….
  7. Welcome to Bassresource!
  8. @Craig P I don’t but I’ll give it a shot.
  9. Who can’t not get a bite on a Whopper Plopper? I’ve had a couple on but they always come off, other than that nothing. Not even a short strike. @A-Jay can I get a refund? 😂
  10. Spro rock crawler KVD squarbill For 6poundbass weighted T-rig with a Rage bug @Siebert Outdoors Fogy
  11. I tired Trokar years ago when they came out. Like others said, they tear big holes in lips. I’ve never been let down by Gamakatsu.
  12. I asked a couple questions. That’s all I’m responsible for.

  14. 6poundbass couldn’t get his butt out of bed this morning so I left him. I caught four dinks. I got home and he was up, so we hooked the boat back up for another trip on a different lake and we finally got a couple photo worthy bass. Ten total bass for the second trip, two sinks and the rest over 2lbs.
  15. Can’t get any worse than what’s already on the radio. Those who want to find real music already know where to go so personally, I’m not worried. Simpletons have already flocked to this crap music.
  16. Knowing Glenn and his sense of humor he’ll post a boat load of links to where we can buy them. 😁
  17. Grab me a Daiwa hat, Garmin hat, Seaguar hat, Gamakatsu hat, Strike King hat, St. Croix hat, Okuma hat, and if you have time a Spro hat. 😂
  18. Time on the water Time spent here reading and asking questions. And to paraphrase @Catt just when you think you have them figured out they throw you a curveball.
  19. If I remember correctly, Garmin holds the pattens to FFS so everyone will be behind in the technology because they lease the technology to the other two. Humminbird is a close second no doubt. I’m my opinion you can’t go wrong with either brand. I’ve owned both brands and each other has something better than the other one.
  20. Happy birthday Tom!
  21. Like others have said, Humminbird has 360 imaging and IMO have the best side imaging with MEGA Garmin (which I use) has budget friendly models, has the best FFS, and they’re the most user friendly. Oh, and their customer service has been great. Lowrance….meh
  22. Sounds like something a cat would hack up.
  23. Don’t take something you love and try to make money doing it because it becomes a job and it’ll spoil the reason you fell in love with it. Keep teaching the kids how to fish it’ll be way more rewarding.
  24. Those are the words that come to mind for the Plano Stowaway boxes! The one latch is a nice touch too. https://www.planooutdoors.com/collections/stowaways
  25. I hunted a 30,000 acre buffalo ranch in Chadron for a few years. A whole different world out there. Beautiful country too!
