Hoping for the best.

I was 19 and being treated at the children’s hospital oncology/hematology department. Even though they were going through their treatment almost all of them were still being kids, laughing, playing around, and not letting their illness get them down. My cancer experience changed my life and I try to live my life like those kids. Life’s too short and tomorrow is not guaranteed so I don’t want to waste a day.

@Tennessee Boy my only question is…what do you do for a living? If you aren’t compiling data I think you missed your calling. 😁

Thankfully the snot rockets have been very few this year. I wouldn’t be mad if I hooked into one like yours though.

I’m with @king fisher. Two weeks ago I was catching them on a crank. This morning, we fished the same lake and they didn’t want the crank, they only wanted a lipless. Same lake, similar conditions, both times paralleling drop offs.

You being a former sailor, I’m sure you could teach me some new things. 😁 My pet peeves that come to mind people who look like they just got out of bed and decided to go out in public. Pajamas, slippers, etc. I’m all for being comfortable especially if you’re just doing a quick run to the store, but SpongeBob slippers, and dinosaur pajama pants three sizes too big aren’t a good look especially if you’re older than 8. People who work retail that don’t have people skills. You give me my order, I say thank you, and you say absolutely nothing. It wouldn’t kill you to say you’re welcome or you’re welcome, have a good day. If you hate your job that much, get a job making SpongeBob slippers.

What I find most impressive and hasn’t been mentioned and could be a first, all but one angler has caught limits the first two days. One heck of a fishery!

I have a cougar that hangs out at my house. A female, I see her every morning, she disappears for 8-10 hrs during the days, and reappears in the evening. For the most part, she’s friendly. 😎

It was a very nice 55* at 6 this morning when I woke up. The boat is loaded and I never thought I’d say it so soon but for the first couple hours tomorrow, I’ll be wearing a sweatshirt. I love it.

That doesn’t feel like that was the original intent of this thread. I could be wrong. There have been plenty of threads over the years of members posting their experience on cheaper reels, where they found them, modifications they made, and so on.

A little spit and elbow grease and those used one will be good as new! 🤣
