St Croix vs Dobyns
They will give you a good price (I got $90 for a few I traded in a while back) but you will pay shipping there and back. That's the only downside.

Best Rod and Reel Combo For Top Water
7'3" is what I have. I want something 7' or longer for longer casts.

Lipless crankbait rod
I just started using one of the new Curado Rods. 7'4" MH/M. It love it. Perfect length and nice tip. They can be had in your price range.

Best Rod and Reel Combo For Top Water
A MH-H/F with a high speed gear ratio reel, I'd say anything above 7:1 would be fine. For me it's the Dobyns Champ XP 734C with a Shimano Curado K XG (8:1). I throw it on braid and just reel to set the hook.

USPS Fishing Rod Claim
I uploaded the TW invoice. I did everything online and didn't have to pester or anything. It was actually smooth.

USPS Fishing Rod Claim
I recently shipped 3 Dobyns Champ XP's and one broke. I got $500 insurance just because I had a bad feeling. The guy I sent them to sent me pics right when he received them. I uploaded those pics and filed a claim at USPS.com and received my money in exactly one week. I try to use PVC only now. EDIT: And on this same note what in the heck do they do to these things to break them. They are very hard. It seems like you would have to try to break it.

Yeah, I can't remember exactly how to get to it. American Legacy Fishing and Sportsmans Outfitters are there. LOL, from the homepage just click on the 20% coupon link and all the sellers are listed below.

Rod and Reel... DD Crankbait vs Crankbait
Longer rod, typically close to 8'. Slower gear ratio reel with a larger spool. Longer casts, easier retrieve. Yesterday I found some fish suspended at 20-25' in 40' of water and tied on a 10XD style crankbait. I didn't have my deep crank set up so I was throwing it on a Dobyn's 736CB with a Curado K 7:1. It was terrible and very taxing. I made about 5 casts and gave up on that. Some people say they don't mind 7:1 ratios for deep divers and I have no idea how.

I don't know if that's new or if I've just never noticed it but I'd be interested to hear any reviews.

What are your favorite rod brands?
I'm a fan of Dobyns, Shimano, and G. Loomis

Best whopper plopper 110 rod
I have a couple of them. It would work fine for 110's. I wouldn't go any larger than that. It is excellent for chatterbaits and spinnerbaits. And as you mentioned I'll use it for 5xd's and 6xd's also.

6'7" Med/Xfast, how would you use it?
Poppers, 1.5 squarebills, jerkbaits

Best whopper plopper 110 rod
This doesn't help but I throw mine on a 734C with braid. It works fine.

Ike Delay 6'4" Jerkbait Rod
I believe that action and rod type is commonly used for everything you described. And I think many people prefer shorter rods for squarebills around cover for more accuracy. The shorter butt will benefit the "jerk" portion when throwing the jerk bait. I don't have experience with that specific rod but I do have two like it.

1/4-1/2 oz jigs/Trig rod?
Should be fine with any MH/F or MH/XF rod.

New Bantam baitcaster
I've read all of this stuff but I still don't understand where this reel really fits in and what it's purpose would be. It seems like Chronarch MGL or Metanium MGL. I like shiny new things like everyone else but I don't get this one.

Curado K
I have more than a handful and haven't had a problem with any of them.
