This will be my 11th season in a kayak, but I don't do the tournament thing. Tried tournament fishing out of bass boat and it seem to much like work. I wouldn't limit yourself to 5 baits, the bite changes from day to day and you should be prepared to cover the entire water column. Have fun and be safe.

The Sun rose at 7:44 this morning at about 117 degrees E/SE. When it rises at 99 degrees E (March 1st) I'm going fishing, because I believe in science.

You did good! I built mine last year and with the case being the exception, used the same parts.

I drove Fords up until three years ago. My 2015 Chevy has a layer of ice and snow on her this morning and she still looks good. I won't be going back to Ford.

How long has the chatterbait been out? I know it has to have been 20 years since I first tied one on. I was home in Illinois visiting my brother and we were on Jacksonville Lake. I remember my brother handing me one and told me to give it a try. At first glance I thought it was the stupidest thing, too use to my spinnerbaits I guess. When I watched that first LM come up from behind and inhale that bait, I was definitely sold. The chatterbait has landed me many nice bass since, @txchaser. Thanks @Bluebasser86 for turning me on to those Living Image skirts, I'll be customizing a few of those chatterbaits in a couple of weeks.
