  1. hmmm. I put a good hip rotation in there when I make an overhead cast
  2. apparently my lake is closed, tried to take the kayak out got kicked immediately. our website say nothing about lake being closed, only the amenities like the beach and playgrounds
  3. did you guys get your rods from sportsman yet I still have no tracking info up
  4. Even though it is considered a public body of water?
  5. Graphite and Carbon are the same thing essentially
  6. im afraid it will do the same thing again
  7. my lake has one end with deep clear rocks, and another end with shallow mud and some submeged timber. Which is the better place to focus? water temps still in the 40's
  8. haven't fished there
  9. that is a good way to get used to the proper technique
  10. there's a few spot, I have never tried it. It would be a lot of walking, and minimal access. I 100% recommend a boat. I would have no problem letting you tag along, but that would violate social distancing unfortunately. For sure once it all ends.
  11. But...I would be at the bottom bc I don't have anything to inflate it haha
  12. I think it will do just fine as I will only be using the reel in certain occasions. I don't deep crank much at the moment so I don't anticipate getting super into it right away. That bantam MGL looks awesome. If I ever upgrade I know where im going..
  13. I meant swing as in like golf and baseball and softball and hockey haha all those sports require a swinging motion, and the better you get the more consistent and precise you can get with your shots which are = casts. While it may not require the same amount of athleticism as say golf or baseball, it still requires decent hand eye coordination and some power to make a good cast consistently.
  14. I currently use braid. Are you saying take the braid off and put mono on? Might be worth a shot, I don't fish ultra heavy cover.
  15. I don't know if boat registration ends today or tomorrow. Might also go depending on the weather. It can get pretty choppy for a small lake if there's any wind. Granted you can paddle into the coves.
  16. they are the same as small streams and also the Great Lakes
  17. Maybe they use their fins?
  18. its gonna be a while before im buying this, was bored and fed up with the lefty deal so I thought we could all rant! you all do the same!
  19. will probably go with the Revolution x, not gonna be an everyday rod so I don't need to ball out.
  20. http://www.abugarcia.com/abugarcia-reels-baitcast-reels-low-profile/abu-garcia-revo-winch-low-profile-reel/1447307.html#start=7&sz=15 http://www.abugarcia.com/on/demandware.store/Sites-PureFishing-Site/default/Product-Variation?pid=1447309&dwvar_1447309_MFRPN=REVO4 X-W-L only ones I could find
  21. with all being said, what are our options besides the Revo Winch?
  22. I agree that the 9.4 oz Calcutta is a bit heavier than I would want on a rod that I am casting all day. Especially on a longer rod, you will notice fatigue if it isn't balanced right...
  23. I have done the same thing, never bothered to buy a new co2 can. Will the officer check to see I have one installed?
