  1. very slowly
  2. I learned to skip using a baitcaster and a horny toad. It has enough weight to skip well and can be rigged weedless. Dont leave too much slack an inch or two, so the rod loads up and does the work This also allows for you to get within inches of the water at release You leave 6 inches to a foot hanging and its a slash down in blow up city!!
  3. 17 minutes left in this period, hope he can pull it off. Always seemed like a solid blue collar type of guy. This is setting up to be a heartbreaker for someone
  4. Seems like Wheeler must have forgotten to get information for this lake according to some
  5. The rookies keep getting better and better each year. Cant wait to see Matty Wong, Cody Huff, Jacob Foutz, Jonathan Kelley and the rest of this years class in the years to come
  6. I wish they would have started at 10 am so they could fish later into the afternoon. the fishing is getting crazy
  7. Bryan New in the lead after winning here last year
  8. It's not like it's in a bad neighborhood The average household income in Hudson is $174,972 with a poverty rate of 2.14%. The median rental costs in recent years comes to $1,769 per month, and the median house value is $345,500.
  9. So I cant have my work software open, BASS, MLF and Bass Resource as I keep crashing I axed MLF and now it's better.
  10. Here's the quote "Does someone come back next year and say I want an ice shanty on Hudson Springs Park for x amount of time?" Shubert asked. "And if you then allow ice fishing with shanties, then that leads to another problem. Prostitution. Now you've got the police chief and the police department involved."
  11. As much slack as people in TN get for being backwards, it was worse when I lived in Ohio https://www.yahoo.com/news/ohio-mayor-says-ice-fishing-191108428.html
  12. I have not heard of those sloughs, although multiple names for the same place seem rampant down there. The sloughs are awesome sometimes you pull into one and it's like our in a different world. I have fished the Big Sewee, it's really a large creek Laydowns, weeds and a few docks Flippers paradise and in some places you can flip both sides, it gets real narrow I have also fished the Washington/Town creek area and it's skinny going in but in one of the arms it opens up pretty good. Lots of weeds and multiple arms to fish. All my fishing has been early spring or late fall so not in the your same time frame. Also most of the success I have seen there has been in Chester Frost, Harrison Bay Sale and Wolftever creek areas
  13. I like having multiple sets of pliers and scissors One set near the console and the other set near the front deck. I also found a plastic container that keeps my extra roll of tp dry
  14. I love Shin
  15. Seems like the pro's whine a little more when the going gets tough. I golfed with a guy once and he was melting down over the cut of the rough, the type of grass they used on the greens and the moron who placed every pin on a break He did all this on his way to shooting 2 over par Sometimes when you're near the top the expectations are also at the top (not a personal observation as i'm too far down to see up there) so when you dont do as well as you expected, you whine like no tomorrow and find something to blame
  16. The weights should start to improve with the water warming a little this afternoon
  17. Seasonal patterns are a good place to start. Where fish are located in early spring is different than mid summer As @WRB says locating bait and fish with the sonar provides an excellent starting point This sport is #1 about locating the fish No matter the rod, the reel, line, bait or experience of the angler matters if you are casting to where the fish ain't
  18. Glad to see the TN guy Michael Neal win it. He seems to be able to find that one big bite when he needs it.
  19. The benefit your kids will get being raised by a parent instead of some day care worker will outweigh the loss in salary. Before I had kids my dad married his second wife and I saw the day care routine. Wake the kid up at 6 and leave by 7 (some real quality time there trying to hurry him up to get dressed, food jammed in his mouth and rushed out the door) Pick the kid up at 6 not home until 7 by the time he eats dinner and has a bath he gets less than an hour before bed to spend with his parents. For those keeping score at home Daycare = 7:30am- 6pm = 10 hrs Mom 1.5 hours in the morning including the car ride and 3 hours at night = 4.5 hours Your results may vary but my wife and I decided her staying home with the kids was what was best for our children
  20. I dont let my wife go to the dump, empty the litter boxes or scoop up after the dogs. Not that she cant do it, somethings are a little nastier and she doesn't have to because I can When I poured concrete the guys seemed to have a more "old school" view of things. They usually demanded a lot from their wives while they worked, cussed and drank a lot of beer. The same guys wondered why their wife was sneaking over to the neighbors during the day and end up divorcing them and taking half
  21. I was fishing around some houseboats and they had them on a bench Having never seen anything like the Dancin' Rascals, I had to grab a pic It's like I'm always surprised by what I see down here but at the same time not surprised
  22. Most places carry "worms" but down her they've got them Dancin' Rascals At least that's what i picture when he says worms
