  1. I remember an FLW event(Beaver Lake 2011) where 9 of the top 10 guys were all throwing a vision 110. I bought into the hype and got a few. I don't think I've paid for another brand of jerkbait since. I never had a lot of luck with jerkbaits and for whatever reason these starting catching fish for me With the increased confidence I threw them more often and had better luck Now they are a confidence bait
  2. My wife said I should try magnesium oil when my elbow was acting up I would spray it on and rub it in. I took a couple of months off and the pain was gone. Now when it flares up a little I rub a little on it and it never seems to stay or get worse probably all in my head but it works for me
  3. The problem is that he will have to fish the BASS opens to qualify for the Elite Series. My guess is that BASS will have him write an article every now and then. His real exposure on the BASS side will be when he qualifies for the elites
  4. A few years ago I had a pretty bad case of casting/tennis elbow I had to switch to using a right hand retrieve baitcaster as I normally reel lefty I got so good now I can blow up a reel with either hand!!
  5. Very nice write up and a giant released for someone else to possibly catch!! Great job!!
  6. Thank you for sharing!! Love a great story with pictures to boot, looks like you had a blast!!
  7. When @WRB posts on this thread pay attention to what the man is saying. He has spent a lot of time chasing double digit bass with very good success.
  8. I've always seen Scott as a loyal FLW guy. I heard that FLW helped him get his TV show going in the early days. Almost every year FLW puts on an event out of Roland's Marina, so they kinda paid back the loyalty. MLF is about business and none of their dealings so far have given any sort of perception of loyalty Easy to see why he didn't want any part in the company that destroyed what he worked to build at FLW I wish him luck and can see him doing well in the Opens but it will be tough as a lot of good sticks fish them
  9. Or that Lake Menderchuck is stuck in the twilight zone Judging by all those monster smallie pics, I'll keep my belief that Lake Menderchuck is not in this dimension I'm pulling for an early spring for our Northern Bassers
  10. The Knowing Bass book has been recommended many times. I believe it is written in gold. Prices are cray cray
  11. We got 3 inches of snow Monday night, but I'm headed out Saturday we're supposed to be in the mid 50's. Saw some guys getting gas this morning and they are pre-fishing for a 100+ boat tourney Sat. Looks like TN fishing is still going strong
  12. BASS getting their hands on that kayak money too!!
  13. That was very interesting to hear. I went and watched the show that started all of this and cannot believe that this caused an uproar with the heads at MLF. Some very different opinions but nothing to go behind someones back to get them reprimanded at work for.
  14. Discovery channel sat mornings 7am-9am On the right hand side of the MLF website they have a TV schedule section
  15. It looks great on paper but so do a lot of other business models that failed. Most of those did not require people to sign a 2 year contract where they will be paying 30 grand a year to fish. I hate to be Debbie Downer but I see this going the same way as the PAA.
  16. Wow, lucky this didn't end up worse
  17. I've got a 16 and half foot Aluminum Crestliner with a 25 horse motor. It's got a Maxxum 101lb thrust 36 volt trolling motor. I run 3 size 31 optimas for the trolling motor and have a size 27 for starting battery/electronics. The boat is like a tank not gonna break any speed records but I can stand on the trolling motor all day without worry. I've never wished to have a smaller trolling motor but know plenty of guys that want more trolling motor than they currently have.
  18. Therefore, there are more competent anglers pressuring the bodies of water which in turn could make it more difficult to find fish in the usual/expected places .... just saying
  19. I like that it establishes a qualifying aspect to getting into and remaining on the BPT. Here's the bottom 15 from MLF this year
  20. News from the MLFLW camp - The new FLW pro level tour will fish 7 4 day tourneys using the 5 biggest fish format The New championship event will be using the MLF format Starting in 2021 the top 10 in points(from 2020+2021) will be promoted to the BPT tour.

  22. The 6 day tourneys are a little much for me as a fan. Now throw in the confusion that the first 3 days will be the 5 biggest fish and the last 3 days will be the most weight FLW guys have to have 2 different patterns going > big fish as well as numbers of fish FLW will actually be the biggest test for anglers because of how hard the changing formats will be. BPT - fishes for most overall weight BASS- fishes for 5 biggest FLW- will fish both ways in the same event
  23. Boyd out there making it rain
