  1. 12 pages of depression, I mean anticipation Hoping for the ice melt to come soon!!
  2. I grew up hearing stories about the famous "Barney Spoon" I fished one for many years and still break it out now and then The back story is it was created by a couple of buddies from Kent Oh in the late 60's Very similar to the Hawaiian wiggler, made 30 years earlier 20 minutes up the road in Akron. https://www.cantonrep.com/story/news/local/2018/07/16/the-barney-has-hooked-em/11514992007/
  3. TN just requires one per person on the vessel. (kayak or canoe) I would venture to guess that in most boat related drownings The required pfd's were onboard and could have saved a life if they were worn.
  4. Awesome day of smashing them!! So study for all those hours, all those years just to work 100 hours a week? Is this what the clock looks like to you? Hope your Mom is on the road towards recovery too
  5. I'm a recovering hothead. After an on the water confrontation "where I was sticking up for myself" my POV "Those a-holes needed a butt whipping" my partners POV "Why are you always this stupid" my wallets POV I learned an expensive lesson, one I was taught many times before too Tldr version: 2 guys began by being A-holes, I overreacted, flipped out and threatened them I got back to the empty boat ramp and they slashed all my tires. 4 on the truck and 5 on the boat, yep they slashed the boats spare too
  6. He had a couple on that would have changed his day shoulda, coulda, woulda doesn't weigh much
  7. The new wide world of sports agony of defeat
  8. I think Jocumsen is gonna smash a huge one today with that glide bait What a contrast from Aoki fishing a spinning rod and wacky rig
  9. Jocumsen is gonna catch a giant with that glide bait I'm falling fast, so my guys must have caught them early End of the day and I'm almost out of the top 500
  10. Sometimes they get away thru no fault of our own
  11. I managed to sneak into the top 40 this morning
  12. I have found most beds here are right where you start to lose visibility So here, I was seeing them in 3-5 feet I tried taking a few pictures but that went over like a fart in church
  13. I was out yesterday, 2+ hours north of these guys Water temps were the highest this year at 56 and I saw dozens of fish on beds I'm sure it's mid-late spawn here. Hoping for a shootout
  14. They've still got a couple years to learn too. One is in 8th grade the other is in 9th. AWESOME!!
  15. The bait monkey has put you on the naughty list!! It's almost always the location
  16. I think this reflective period is one of my most productive. I am doing it regardless if I skunk or not. As a tournament guy, you'll have days where you catch them good off of points in the pockets. Then hear the winners were fishing wind blown points on the main channel. Sometimes I'm able to put the pieces together on the water Sometimes running it thru my head, I determine I would have done things differently The hard part comes putting that into play the next time that situation comes up In low to mid 40's, my expectation mirrors the temperature. I give myself a pat on the back and an attaboy. Then find the fireplace
  17. Welcome to the site !! I'm just a bit north of you at Norris lake.
  18. "Hey honey, where'd my favorite shirt go?"
  19. Too cold for bass to be shallow? Too cold for bass to hit topwater? It's bass fishing and there are always exceptions
  20. Spinnerbait on the windy bank has caught a lot of bass
  21. I probably caught some from just reading this thread. Dont scrub the area with anything rough and do not use either Floral scented bleach or gasoline. Trust me
  22. I use http://www.lakelevels.info/USA/Tennessee/ , click on the lake you want and it'll show current and past years lake levels. As well as the change from yesterday.
  23. I'm waiting for @Glenn to give his thoughts on Russell and the Seahawks
