  1. I have a Crestliner that is 16 feet and it's on the small side for more than me. I have 7 foot rods and unless I'm casting directly in front of the boat, I have hit the console and the rear seat. When 2 people are in the boat it takes the two of us to pay attention to when and where the other person is casting that way we dont catch each others lines/baits I would look at something larger for 4 people I have a 36V trolling motor and never have I wanted something smaller I have a 3 bank on board charger so when I park it in the garage I can just plug it into an extension cord and it charges all 3 batteries.
  2. My wife ordered some custom shirts from a site and I liked them The hat was not that great of a fit for me but both long and short sleeve shirts turned out well https://www.inkpixi.com/items/bait-and-tackle/white/adult-t-shirt?imsz=750&var1=
  3. hahahahaha ..... He's in Louisiana not SoCal
  4. i posted this in the can you swim thread How many people have bought something only to find out you got something defective? This was my experience after buying a Mustang inflatable life jacket for tourney fishing. I was to co angler and the boater ran into a barely submerged rock pile. We both got tossed at about 60 MPH. My boaters Mustang inflatable opened properly mine did not open at all. Luckily, I was able to make it to the boat before he was because he was dazed and panicked. He hit the steering wheel hard on ejection where I was just thrown out cleanly. Mustang issued a recall on the model I purchased. I now always wear a foam life vest when running(using the outboard) Since the deaths that happened recently, I will now wear it at all times
  5. This is pretty impressive to me. I'm going to take a look at that Razors Edge system.
  6. The Electric Only tourney trail I used to fish participated in the The 2017 Electric Bass Angling National Championship, sponsored by Elco Motor Yachts. They won a 20 HP electric motor from Elco motors. https://www.facebook.com/EEBANC/
  7. Topwater guy most of the time and i like the Kelly J prop bait But man after seeing the realism of some of the baits pictured above, The bait monkey is calling!!
  8. The bassmaster website has live coverage Fri-Sun. They put cameras in the 6 boats that are leading and rotate the action between them. My favorite thing to watch. Even when I'm fishing i'll have the coverage on and listen thru my headphones.
  9. I fish by myself all the time and will try dumping my Crestliner aluminum boat almost anywhere. I got stuck once and had to get my father in law to pull me out. Since then I keep a come-a-long and a few long straps with me and I have had to anchor them to a tree to get out.
  10. I thought this was pretty funny
  11. Awesome job and a great write up!!
  12. I've always had trouble at Cherokee when the water is down. No shame in that.(at least thats what I tell myself... hahaha)
  13. Thats probably the 1 guy BASS doesn't want to win their biggest event. He's a great fisherman who has won all over the place. Nice pick
  14. I have had it work at times, other times I have better results with the drop shot. I think my issue is that my expectations are based on what I've seen on TV. Those guys see the fish on the graph, they drop their bait down and then they're fighting the fish. I drop my bait down a 100 times and only get 5 to bite. I have not been disciplined enough to just stick with the Damiki all day
  15. Welcome!!
  16. Day 3(final day) was cancelled because of fog. Top 30 teams received invitations to the College Series National Championship.
  17. ^^ 9 loved me some Blues Brothers ^^
  18. Very nice day 2 bag!!
  19. It was this color but it was the 4400. It has a larger lip and the edges are beveled or shaved looking. I have a couple others but they dont seems to dive as straight or as deep. I tried to bend the line tie on a couple but that didnt seem to get it right. The one good one I had had a specific feel as it was digging the bottom.
  20. Yeah, he didn't re-qualify based on his AOY standings the previous 2 years.
  21. There have been reported issues with the CV transducer as it is taking 2 images and slicing them together.(this was 9 months ago so the technology may have changed) Lowrance has released a video showing these differences but you'll need to take that with a grain of salt as it is Lowrance talking about a competitor.
  22. ^^ What he said^^ I've been catching a couple each time I've been out, nothing with any size though. All the fish I have caught have been in 20-30 feet and on a side of a point that extends into the main channel. There is a hump that is now exposed right where Palmers Junction meets the main channel. This spot has been pretty good to me throughout the years and the seasons. Sometimes there closer to the top sometimes there in 30 FOW. I even managed a couple small spots fishing the 33 bridge. I have not caught anything in the coves or feeder arms since Nov.
  23. I too had issues with the L4-L5 and S1-L5-discs when I was 35. 2 herniations, degenerative disc disease and spondylolisthesis I poured concrete for 15 years and prided myself for working circles around the other guys. I'd throw my back out twice a year but usually after 7 days I'd be better. Then one day I threw it out and didn't stand straight for almost 2 years and would drag my left leg around. I went to an orthopedic surgeon and they wanted to operate, chiropractor wanted to twist me every which way but loose. I even went to the cleveland clinic to see a spine surgeon. His advise was if I could stand the pain to not have surgery. Anyone in my union that had surgery never only had one they would have to have another several years down the road. It wasn't until I started aqua therapy did I start to get some relief. The water allowed me to straighten out for the first time in 2 years. I would do some very very basic exercises and I was usually surrounded by senior citizens doing the same exercises.(huge blow to my pride 6 months of Aqua therapy and I graduated to doing some regular physical therapy. Now I would say that I am about 95% of my former self. Doing things at feet level are bothersome but I can split firewood, I fish tournaments and can play with my kids
