  1. My equilibrium is WAY off. I get super bad vertigo about every 4-5 yrs and I think I'm getting a small dose of it right now. In the past, it comes on out of no where and requires a trip to the hospital via ambulance. I'm also usually out of work for about a month. After MANY, MANY, MANY, MANY doctors and twice as many tests, it was determined that these tiny little crystals in my inner ear get loose and cause MAJOR vertigo. :'( Does anyone else have this problem?
  2. LOL... but isn't that the truth.
  3. A big one or small one? ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D
  4. LOL, I find myself doing the same thing. Take only 2 rods next time and limited selection of tackle, you'll probably do better. But hey, 5th place isn't bad and I know that wind was crankin.
  5. A friend gave me the 4" tungsten swimbait as a gift the other day. I used it last Thursday night in a tournament and this is what happened. 6:00pm- Take off. 6:10pm- pull up to my spot and cut the motor. 6:11pm- grab swimbait rod and make first cast of the day. 6:11pm and 20 seconds- BAM, 2 pounder in the live well. I put both weights in the bait. Killer swimming action but doesn't sink very well upon retrieval.
  6. I was almost going to suggest that but probably in gold.
  7. WOOHOO, what a monster.
  8. 98.5 % of my cranks are Lucky Craft with the exception of the sammy. I have two of them but I much prefer the ZaraSpook. IMO, no one has been able to master the sound and action you get from the spook.
  9. Nice looking gun. I have the Benelli Super 90 semi auto and it is awesome sweet.
  10. Rhino is right-on about the saltwater boat. My saltwater boat was more maintenance then my ex-girlfriend. EVERY fricking time I went to use it there was something wrong. My Tracker on the other hand has been a gem. Almost 3 yrs old and only repair was a 5 minute replacement of the bilge pump. I tell her everyday how much I love her and softly rub her bow. (she likes it when you rub her bow).
  11. I haven't been there in years but good luck. If the grass is just under the water surface then I would try a Zaraspook at 1st light. After that I would throw a Fluke. I would also have a rod set up with a jig or a T-rig plastic and flip the grass pockets.
  12. Thank you for the birthday wishes. I fish Shimano, Loomis and soft plastics if anyone gets the urge ;D ;D. Pizza and wing party at my house tomorrow if anyone wants to come.
  13. Last years "lure fun" went very well. The lure made it to a couple different countries and several states. This years event pretty much sucked. You can look in the Tackle Section. It has it's own thread.
  14. Way to go Paul , I knew you would win. Tell hank I said hi, even though I'm quite sure he won't know me, and keep us posted.
  15. If you've never been then I suggest you hire a guide. Shiners are not needed but each their own.
  16. I accomplish three things by peeing off the boat. #1. The temp of the water. #2. The depth of the water. #3. The bottom of the lake structure. ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D
  17. Congrats on the new gun. I have two Glocks and like them very much. Here's a tip for ya if you want an inexpensive but yet very durable grip. Cut a piece of bicycle tube and stretch it over the handle. My hands are a tad to big for the handle and they sweat after shooting a few rounds. I put two pieces of tubing over the handle and boy, what a world of difference. The first tubing is easy to get on but the second one will take a little oooomph to stretch over the first one..
  18. Just look out for those culvert pipes that extend 6' into the water from the bank in narrow canals. >
  19. Peeing is the easy part. What if they have to take a deuce?
  20. I'm glad your canoe survived. She must have hit you with a little more than a bump for your canoe to come untied and slide onto her car though.
  21. Put your finger on top of the hook eye when you star wrapping the tag end around the main line. By doing this, you will make the whole much bigger to bring the tag end back through because your finger is in there.
  22. And an extra 4 mm will make that much of a difference? I wouldn't think so but let me ask
  23. Ditto from Florida.
  24. To catch fish
  25. SirSnookalot and other retirees, Aside from health insurance, do you spend more money being retired then you did before retirement? If so, what percentage more? I would think you would spend more since part of your day isn't consumed by the job.
