  1. SAME. I was really interested into what he had to say, until I heard what he had to say. Turned it off.
  2. Anyone have experience with this rod? What do you typically throw on it? Thoughts on it? Thinking about getting something for finesse cranking, not BFS though. Smallish cranks, squarebills, etc. THANKS
  3. My wife also wanted to buy me a new cabinet for my tackle. Needed to run it by NASA and gets a little dicey when the wind picks up but it works. Takes up very little floor space so that’s a plus.
  4. Correct. You can round to the nearest whole number if you would like. CPA. But some days I feel like a math teacher while talking with clients. LOL
  5. Yep, I came to that realization on Tuesday myself. 10 day is showing no opportunities, who knows what Mother Nature throws us. I mean, it IS Iowa. We might be fishing two weeks from now.
  6. I agree, it’s really impossible to answer. We don’t know your rods. We don’t know the techniques you prefer. With that being said, take a few days off to contemplate selling anything. There’s some really good Black Friday specials, you might want to add to your collection.
  7. Heck no. I don’t do 6th Sense either. Apparently I’m a “Get off my lawn” old fart.
  8. Once companies get big enough it’s mandatory. So it’s really out of their control. They are just doing what MN requires. It must be a very recent change because I’ve never paid it either and I just had an order last week. I have a coupon for a free membership so I’ll renew when my current subscription expires. If I had to pay for it, I’d have to really think about it. Otherwise I’ll stick with the smaller companies that don’t charge sales tax and still offer free shipping after a certain dollar amount of purchasing.
  9. I’m currently having a problem with the sales tax. LOL Looking to maybe buy a rod but they want $30 for sales tax. OOF.
  10. You can opt out of that fee. Just unclick it at checkout. I already talked to them and gave them my opinion on the “hidden” fee. Demanded a refund which they gave me. Their inventory has sucked, this “hidden” fee, and then also waiting forever to give out their Black Friday deals. I’ve been a very good customer and have recommended them to many, but they are slipping here lately. UPDATE: Just went on, they are charging sales tax now. FML
  11. Not sure, but I guess I’d rather try a +1 or +2 bait or suspend strips. If you try it report back and let us know.
  12. I never said you can’t catch fish. I said you are limiting yourself. Huge difference.
  13. To be the very best and most versatile bass fisherman possible, you need both spinning and baitcasting. If you just have one, you are 100% limiting yourself. If I had to just have ONE, it would definitely be baitcasting. No question. JMO
  14. Getting a collection of lures that have caught tons of fish but the hooks just don’t have what it takes anymore. What are some of the best out there? Thanks
  15. Any word from Omnia? It’s a little ridiculous that they haven’t announced anything yet, unless I missed it. Discount Tackle has a bunch of decent deals. % off depends on the product but I’m getting some cranks 20% off. Best deal that I’ve found. Copper was out of them.
  16. Went out yesterday, weather was nice for late November. Lake was empty which was nice. Got off to a late start but caught five. Four on a flat sided shallow crank and one on a jerkbait. Only weighed three of them. Smallest was just under 2 lbs, the other 2 were over 3 lbs. Pretty solid outing. Two more days of decent weather before it drops a ton.
  17. No budget. I’ve been adding a few high end combos a year to the lineup. By the end of next year I shouldn’t need much more. The biggest expense will come hopefully next year. I’m assuming a half years salary, ouch. That would be a boat. For the most part I live a fairly frugal lifestyle so treating myself to my favorite pastime is fine. My wife doesn’t complain too much.
  18. A couple deals I’m taking advantage of, both are found on their respective websites. Buzbe 20% Dirty Jigs 25%
  19. That's pretty good, thanks. Right now 10-15% off isn't really doing anything for me. I'm really looking for >20%.
  20. I just bought a couple different lure retrievers so hopefully that will help. I'm still SOL if I sling them into the trees. LOL No joke I thought about buying the below.
  21. Yep, Saturday and Sunday look to be in the low 50's. I'm off at noon today and then have next week off. Hopefully I'll have a good story to tell y'all.
  22. Why you son of a... That joke is so 2023!!! 56th in the country in scoring this year.
  23. If you were to put all of your stuff together in a big pile. What percentage do you think you actually use on a regular basis? Myself? I'm going with 10%. I have so much stuff that I don't use. I'd actually compare it to a woman's closet. You buy something new and it takes the place of all of the old stuff. I have plenty of brand new lures that probably won't touch the water. Just like my wife has clothing with the tags still on them in our closet. I do what the monkey commands so I don't see this ending. What say you?
  24. Did my first colonoscopy a few weeks ago or so. You have to drink a bunch of stuff but that's the worst part. The rest is a breeze. I had two polyps but they came back fine. Get your butts checked out fellas.
