  1. I regret purchasing a few several years ago. Can’t be much different than a buzzbait right? IDK, I was stoked when I got them. I think I’ve caught a couple bass on them.
  2. Anyone still fishing these? I've seen some videos and bass seem to just SLAM these lures.
  3. Ya know, a couple of you mentioned the ole Jitterbug so I googled it. I've never fished them before so I just "assumed" you twitched it like a popper. Boy was I wrong. Basically a wake bait it looks like. Might have to grab me one.
  4. I just googled this bait. Looks pretty dang good under water. They make a bigger version as well. I have to start adding to my swimbait arsenal! Good luck with it and let us know how you do with it.
  5. If it makes you feel any better, my wife is about to kill me as well.
  6. Yeah, it's probably a good idea you lost your credit card privileges. LOL
  7. I found this out as well. I'm not old yet but I'm not young either. I've lost some strength and it wasn't easy getting back in. Once again, luckily I was able to stand up.
  8. I'm not finding ANY of this stuff on Omnia! LOL
  9. Oh I know. I knew this area. Shallow and zero current. I walked half the way until I had to swim. I can't imagine myself doing it again. I grew up fishing in rivers, although from the shore mostly. I never underestimate water with a current. My uncle was a lifelong DNR agent here in Iowa and about drowned from a strainer kayaking a small river.
  10. Here's a video from a guy that I really like on youtube. Based on all the videos I've watched of his, I'm very confident he is NOT sponsored. Should be an honest review from him, hopefully it can help you:
  11. I have not, but is that a wire guard on the bottom???
  12. Covid increased the popularity of outdoor activities. Golf, fishing, camping, etc. all increased dramatically. Supply and demand.
  13. Same, but a new deal was just struck yesterday and I believe goes into place Aug 1.
  14. Maybe tariffs will slow my spending down. My wife would LOVE that. I believe you, but can you share a source. I see the de minimis amount for some countries but not Japan.
  15. Fishing from a jetty. Wife was with me. Apparently don't trust the knot you tied in the fall because I gave it a hard twitch and she came off. Started taking my clothes off and my wife talked me out of it. Started walking away and after a quick self pep talk I started undressing again. Only took me a few minutes but it takes your breath away. 50 degree water hits you pretty good.
  16. Ha, jokes on you. My wife has video of me swimming after a Vision 110 this spring in 50 degree water. Broke off and was just floating there. I had to get her! No regrets. However a couple of weeks after I lost it in a log. LOLOLOLOL
  17. There's something satisfying about fighting an aggressive bass with a treble hook in its mouth on a high quality moderate rod.
  18. IDK, I've learned the hard way about fishing expensive lures from the bank. You hardly get them back.
  19. Knowing me I’m sure I’ll try one after I get a BFS setup but the reviews I’ve seen don’t seem the greatest. Dink master and hooks that break. I can do that with a $3 lure. lol
  20. It’s not a surface lure right? Runs just below the surface? If so, would it sink if you let it?
  21. Where’s the tariff experts? Japan? 15% when goods reach the country? So get your JDM stuff ASAP????? Or is just auto related? I can’t find great details yet. I don’t believe there’s the de minimis amount anymore.
  22. Nice. Ever measure those hawgs?
  23. Ho ho ho!
  24. I tipped over last year. I got a lure caught on some standing timber and of course wanted to try and get it back. I could see it so I leaned over to my left to grab it and apparently I leaned too far. Splish splash I was taking a bath except not on a Saturday night. It was a Saturday morning. LUCKILY for me I was only in roughly 4 foot of water and I could stand up. I had my tackle bag and some other lose items floating on the surface that I was quickly grabbing. All of the rods I had in the back were clipped in from some homemade "rod keepers" used from some cheap carabiners. The nicest rod of the bunch, which was the one I was fishing with was in the water though. Thankfully my lure was still snagged so I followed my line to my rod and got it back. Unfortunately my dang iPhone was lost. Looking back now I probably could have tried diving below but at the time my concern was more getting the gear I could see and then getting back in the yak. I'm now extra careful to not lean over very far and to have my phone in a pocket in case I ever go in. Not sure why but I've gone away from clipping my rods in like I used to. This needs to change because I have much more expensive gear now. Probably something I'll never forget is that a guy on a boat was pretty close to me and NEVER asked or came over for help. I just can't understand not feeling the need to at least ask how I was doing. The "best" part of the story? It was all for a stupid little CHEAP ned rig. LOL
