I only have two NRX+ rods. The 873 CRR and the 852S. I bought the 873 for mostly jigs and worms, so far I've only used it for jigs. I NEED to get some 10" worms. I bought the 852S mostly for Neko rigs but also wacky. To be honest, I'm a little disappointed in the casting. Maybe I'm just too picky.

What’s the PopX rod for? I see it’s listed as ultralight! The lure rating also states 1/4-1 ounce. 1 oz on an UL????????

You must have a great and understanding wife! I made the mistake the other day where I lined up about 15 unopened jerkbait boxes and said "These all cost about $25 a piece". I'm really not sure what was going through my mind at the time. I won't do that again.

Thanks for the reply. I have a bunch of jerkbaits from Megabass mostly because many people swore by them. Love their rods as well. Maybe I'll need to buy one of the bigger poppers and try it out. It's only money right.

I don't fish that deep myself mostly because I don't have any electronics. But IF I did, maybe: Deep cranks Dropshot Football jig

I know there are others that throw the Megabass version, are they really worth 2 KVD Splashes? What do you think the main difference is?

I don't think I've ever seen weeds like that? Is it like that top to bottom? How do you even fish that? Heavy punch? Looks like someone threw 1,000 Christmas trees into the water!

Thanks Tom. You really have to wonder how much they are even using their eyes at certain times. My best fish the other night in the dirty water came around 10:00pm in the pitch black. Zero chance he “saw” the lure.

What's the shipping for rods from Japan? I've bought a few reels now but not rods. PS She sure is purdy.

What kind of presentations do you like? Went out yesterday and the lake was pretty murky from all the rain we have had. Had a decent outing. Caught one on a chartreuse looking crankbait, deeper diving though. One on a neko rig. Couple on a popper, bass and a bluegill. Most on a swimjig with a 4" trailer. Wish I would have had a spinnerbait. Tried a football jig with a craw type trailer with no luck. Thanks!

How does a big worm (10") do in dirty water? For some reason I have a feeling it could work pretty good as it moves a "decent" amount of water. We have had a ton of rain lately with more coming. Lakes are pretty dirty.

IDK man, not sure if I can do it. Those poop baits look terrible even though I'm sure they catch fish. LOL

Well, once again my refusal to leave caught me my biggest fish last night. Stayed an hour later than my wife wanted but it paid off, at least for me. Caught a nice bass right at the boat in the dark. Jumped and fought like crazy, drenched me. I could have stayed another 2 hours but I didn't really want to lose 50% of my fishing gear to a divorce. LOL

Dobyns crankbait rod. Couldn't tell you the model. lol Reel is also coming today, Shimano Bantam. Will be my first Dobyns rod, hope I like it. Last night I caught a nice bass on a crankbait with my Megabass jerkbait rod, I just LOVE the way that thing feels/bends.

Got the Donkey Leash the other day. Absolutely love it. I normally just kept them in my net and sat on the handle. 75% of their body would be in the water but maybe not their head. Now I just clip their lip and let them swim as I gather the measuring board/camera. If you are in a kayak I HIGHLY recommend. Best $18 I've spent on fishing.

Even though my wife isn't a fan, I've kept every single rod tube that I've purchase lately. Got three in the basement and the FedEx guy is bringing me another today. LOL

Last week I made a comment that I love to fish topwater but rarely do it anymore. Yesterday I went out early evening and said what the heck I’ll bring a rod with a popper on it. The water ended up being pretty dirty from all of the rain but I still managed to catch a couple on it. Boy that was fun. The bluegills loved the tail feather though and kept nipping on it.
