  1. If something cheaper outperforms something more expensive the answer is easy. Sell the more expensive. You should end up with more proceeds and you get to fish with what performs the best.
  2. Thanks. Looking at the price I would think they would be very similar to the P5's out there. I'm just still trying to find the "perfect" single hook moving bait rod.
  3. Anyone have this or know much about it? Specs: STAGS731MHFB | 7'3" MedHeavy, Fast, 10-20lb, 1/4-1oz, "Utility Player" Spinnerbait/Vibrating Jig/Jig/Texas Rig/Swim Jig I don't have any experience with this rod line but it looks intriguing. THANKS
  4. The Hookup Tackle just did a video on it.
  5. Looking good buddy. Does she have a name yet????
  6. Doesn't Tom have an article or something that he wrote about fishing a jig? It seems like I've heard him mention it and he would PM it if asked. I'd love to see it if anyone has it. THANKS
  7. Yep, I have two. Including the model you mention. It's my main jig rod, just not swimming.
  8. I'm in a kayak currently so I'm leaning towards just one new rod right now for these baits. I still have my old one which has worked fairly well. I've seen this 844C MBR mentioned a lot, just trying to figure out if there's something better. The main thing I threw last year was a swim jig so that's the primary purpose for the new rod.
  9. Power. Because finesse is boring.
  10. Been googling around, it’s odd that the F5-68X Blade hardly ever gets talked about. Not a very long rod though.
  11. I have the regular sized still in its package so I have zero experience with it. How does it compare to a jerkbait? Meaning, what does it do different?
  12. 3/8 oz to 1/2 oz swims, chatters, and spinnerbaits. 4” Mayor on the swim baits. Chatters would also have something similar. Spinnerbaits much smaller trailer.
  13. I'd go up to Conquest if it meant it was the perfect rod.
  14. Not sure what the mileage is but the main two lakes I fish are within a 10 minute drive and a 30 minute drive. 20 and 30 acre "lakes". Probably why I've never caught a 5 lb bass. I'm gonna try to get out of my comfort zone this year.
  15. I had a client stuck down there a week or so ago due to this. She's back now. My daughter just flew in to Guatemala yesterday. I'm not too much of a worrywart but my wife and all the grandparents are slightly. The US Gov says to "reconsider traveling to Guatemala" currently.
  16. Yeah you really have to tread lightly. One glass: A few glasses:
  17. When do Females follow Males up to Bed? Alcohol. Lots of alcohol.
  18. Ok I'm really curious about this rod. Everything I read talks about it being such a great MULTI PURPOSE rod. But what if I'm not really in the market for a multi purpose rod? I'm looking for a SINGLE hook MOVING bait rod. I'm not looking for a rod to throw a spinnerbait, a football jig, and a crankbait on. I already have rods for some of those. If I'm ONLY looking for a rod that will throw a chatter/spinnerbait and swim jig, should I forget about this rod. There's better things out there? THANKS
  19. Looks cool, but heavy. I'm assuming it's not?
  20. I sure hope those are durable???? $3 a pop for the larger size. I can see fish loving these though.
  21. Bought three, won't buy anymore. Like someone else mentioned, d**n things go through the water like they haven't had their V8 yet.
  22. Ah hell nah. I'm already crunching numbers 90 hours a week.
  23. You start throwing largish swimbaits it can get expensive quickly. Several that are $100 - $150. Glides Rats Wakes
