Spinnerbaits
I tend to not throw them under those conditions. But.................if nothing is working sometimes I will tie one on and burn it to try to get a reaction bite.

I'd recommend the Abu Garcia Veritas in H/Fast.

Mounting hardware for Garmin Striker install into kayak
I use a Ram mount with the longer tube to mount mine on my Atak.

hook 7
Do you have the depth setting set to automatic? Just the other day I was sitting in 20 feet of water and the graph was only going to 8 feet. Somehow I accidentally changed the setting from auto to 8 feet.

Mounting hardware for Garmin Striker install into kayak
I'd put it inside, just in front of the hatch, then mount the battery behind it, also in the hatch. Run the wires through the inside wall that is facing you, an inch or so down from the top edge, run them to the Garmin on the track mount.

Help me decide my first Kayak
I have the Atak 120 and love it. You may not think you want speed and tracking now but I believe that will change when you don't have it.......lol. I can stand in mine without any problem at all, very stable, AND it tracks and paddles well. If you're fishing small lakes and ponds the 140 may be bigger than you need. Look at the 120.

Using cover scent
I use Megastrike on my plastics and jigs. I don't know if it helps but for $5 that lasts half the year it doesn't hurt either.

Catching Numbers vs Catching Size
When I first got back into bass fishing a few years back I was all about catching bass, any bass. Then I started wanting big bass, preferring one or two big ones over a bunch of smaller ones. Then I was in an online tournament last year and doing pretty good, sitting in 8th place and a couple inches out of 1st on the last day. I caught about 30 bass and wasn't able to cull any of my existing and as I drove home I was ticked. It was then I decided it was stupid to be ticked about catching 30 bass and I needed to enjoy fishing itself. I still go for the big bass and if I keep catching little ones I move spots or change presentations. But if I'm not catching anything I will go to where I can catch the smaller ones for some fun.

Debate with a friend over current
I agree with the fish facing into the current 99% of the time....maybe less as this is a purely unscientific guess on my part based on personal experience. My only exception, based on just a couple times of it happening and all at the same place..........I fish a quarry that sometimes has some high winds whipping through. There was a time last summer I was fishing in my kayak and the winds were so high my anchor barely even slowed my drift down. I got so tired of fighting it that I paddled around a point to get out of the wind. The point is about 10 feet out of the water and about 20 feet wide, maybe 200 yards long, jutting into the quarry. It was completely calm on that side up against the bluff........I nailed bass after bass on the calm side. Maybe they were tired of the wind too.

Frog Rod for Kayak
You could try the Megabass Levante Perfect Pitch. It's $199. I just bought the Braillist for jigs and love it.

LB test for spinnerbait
30 lb braid.

Chatter Bait Technique
In short, Yes and yes........you can bounce it along the bottom, straight retrieve, slow down-speed up.......etc. I tend to straight retrieve it while adding short pauses to let it drop a bit as well as speeding it up.

6th sense crankbait paint and overall durability?
Last year I converted all my cranks to 6th Sense. They are great lures. No issues at all on durability, including the paint. This spring I've been bouncing my squarebills off rocks and wood and they still look great. And as said above the hooks are outstanding.
- One rod to rule them all.

Why lighter line ALWAYS wins ?
Because everyone seems to be focusing on line size/diameter. Pound vs pound line test braid is thinner. I'm sure I could use 10 lb test braid but it would be way to thin for my needs and likes.

Why lighter line ALWAYS wins ?
I fish using braid so I think pound test in regards to braid doesn't apply in this discussion. I base my braid size on diameter, other than fishing the slop where I use 65 lb in the past but am trying 50 this year.
