  1. You fill two 3600 boxes with terminal tackle?
  2. Same here.....especially for tourneys.
  3. War Eagle, mostly 3/8 oz. I go with a natural color like Mouse, a white, and a Chartreuse. I've had most success with Willow blades, one gold, one silver.
  4. Biospawn. I like them.
  5. I use a MH/Fast with a 6.8:1 ratio reel. I have 30 lb braid on it, no leader. I do also use it for spinnerbaits.
  6. My PB, 8-03 was caught in a 6 acre pond behind my daughters house. If it wasn't the biggest in that pond it was certainly top two......
  7. I always remove every lure from my rods before I load them back in the truck. No cats at my house but hooks tend to act as magnets for anything they can catch on. It's easier and less time consuming to just remove them before they snag everything under the sun.
  8. Lowest I'll go on a baitcaster is 20 lb and I only use that for my cranking.
  9. 6th Sense
  10. I use Sufix and PowerPro 65 lb. A lot of places I fish have thick slop and a lot have tons of lily pads.
  11. They sure do. I have a few set up for this weekend......I need to take a photo and post it up.
  12. I thin or trim the weed guard, I don't mess with the skirts. Trailer depends on what jig and what I'm trying to do. I'd say bottom work is a Ragetail Craw in watermelon/red flake, black/blue flake, Green pumpkin. Swimming it's paddletails, Keitech or Biospawn. Punching, Rage Bug.
  13. If you are good at the knots and they are nice and small it shouldn't make a noticeable difference. Most of my rods have micro guides.
  14. This year I'm using a MH/moderate, it casts a lot better than what I used last year, MH/Fast.
  15. Mine was the wacky rig, but then I had a great day with a jig and craw so that was my favorite, then this past October I was slaying them with squarebills so that became my favorite, then in mid November just before the ice set in I had my best day ever with jerkbaits so that became my favorite. I'm going out for the first time this season tomorrow so it may change........lol
  16. Lew's Tournament Pro G, I have three of them in two different ratios.
  17. Be patient and look for a well kept used. If you go too cheap it may not be as enjoyable and you'll end up spending more to replace it. It also helps to get one that you can customize with tracks and such. Other than the obvious need for a PFD and paddle, add an anchor and anchor trolley to the list. It makes life easier on the water, you'd be surprised how little wind is needed to move a kayak all over the place. Some more than others. As the season goes by and you learn how you like things set up and where you can slowly do as needed at minimal cost. And welcome to the addiction!
  18. I use a hybrid jig and a swimjig,,,,,,,,,,hybrid with craws, swim with paddletails, the only thing that changes for me is the color. I will use a skirtless if I want a smaller profile when they are finicky.
  19. A good bag should last.
  20. If I could only have one rod that would be what I'd use, so no...... Except the extremes as you mentioned.
  21. I had that one......for it's size it doesn't hold as much as it looks like it would. I now carry a tackle bag loaded with 3700 boxes, holds much more.
  22. I have a BassX in MH/Moderate that I bought a couple years ago. First it was a crankbait rod until I upgraded to an AvidX. Then is sat unused until I decided to use it for weightless plastics............it is perfect and only $100.
