  1. 18' Skeeter that was overpowered and took turns like a skipping rock, it was FUN riding around though!
  2. Of the non hollow belly swimbaits I have had good luck with 1. Reaction Innovations Skinny Dipper (Make sure you use a smaller wire hook like the EWG 5/0 or 6/0 for some reason the Owners are a bit too heavy as the Superline EWGs) 2. Swimming Senko (Would have placed first but fishing side by side my buddy the Skinny Dipper outfishes it consistently) 3. Zoom Swimming Flukes, I hate'em tear too easy and a bit too light gave them away for FREE after buying 10 bags in exchange for 2/3 bags of Skinny Dippers.
  3. I have an HD flip, nice toy and relatively good HD video. I also have a JVC Everio HD with a 120 GB drive and its significantly better, but much more $$$.
  4. I want to sell my 2 Bank Dual Pro and get a 3 bank charger. The dimensions I have to work with limit my choices since I don't want to move stuff around too much. I have at max an nice 8"x 12" space in the void that my Dual Pro will be leaving. Here are my choices: 1. NOCO Genius http://www.batterystuff.com/battery-chargers/12-volt/marine-chargers/GEN3.html 3. Pro Mariner http://www.pmariner.com/productFeature.php?ProductNum=42021 3. Guest http://www.marinco.com/product/15-amp-three-battery-application-charger I am leaning heavily towards the Noco since it has 10 Amps per bank, but I have not heard about them, does anyone have any experience or input on my choices.
  5. The Marine Platinum series are AWESOME batteries thus the price. Basically they are the same thing as Odyssey Batteries just with Die Hard labels. http://www.odysseybatteries.com/enersys With a good charger and upkeep you can expect long service life.
  6. No unless you go with Powetech's cushion lock system, but I don't think they make it for smaller props. 9.9 HP props are pretty cheap and can be picked up for a song on Ebay or Craigslist.
  7. Too many to list, my favorite though is Kauai's North Shore.
  8. I like it, if that means anything to you. Nice clean install!!
  9. I know Rory's Marine does canvas/upholstery work for yachts and bigger boats, not sure about skiffs and bass boats.
  10. Went out bass fishing yesterday evening in the backyard canal system and landed this fighter, thought I had about a 4lb bass on! It hit a white pond magic spinner-bait. Who say's they don't hit lures
  11. Great catch man, nothing like a big'ole Snook on the beach. I need to get out to the Breakers rock reefs and throw a Spook. Are the greenies in?
  12. Great outing, need to get down there next week.
  13. Fished out of Indian Prairie canal this A.M. from about 7 to 11, and bite was on. Ran south down cuts and fished first major opening and most bass seemed to be holding in the eel grass areas. Top-water frog bite was so-so, but flukes and dippers were consistent catchers in June bug color or watermelon. Most fish were buck but landed about 4 over 2 1/2 with a 5.3 kicker, going to be busy this weekend with all the BFL tournament anglers.
  14. Headed out to Big O in about 6 hours, hope wind kicks it down a couple of notches.
  15. Then you might like this. GQ magazine a few years ago did a piece on the most hated athletes by their peers and Phil was the "winner" for golf. But he's popular with the fans. http://www.gq.com/sports/profiles/200601/most-hates-athletes Funny Mike Ike is 6th on the list
  16. Been watching since the first season, great show! Glad to see Phil, may his soul R.I.P. Love the twist with the exchanging of deckhands.
  17. My wife has been cross fitting for over 8 months now and I like the results. Went to a couple of her workouts and it is intense, you better be in shape before you start.....I think it is great for functional fitness, I think I heard the instructor mention it was based on Navy Seal type training.
  18. Headed out Friday A.M. out of Indian Praire canal or Okee Tantie, not sure yet, hope I can catch some post spawners or late spawners. Wind is not a bother if you stay within the outside weed edge and travel the cuts.
  19. RoLo, Do you have Blue Tilipia up in Lake Wales? They survived the cold spell down here in North Palm Beach County. The same can't be said about the more common Spotted Tilipia, which were pretty much wiped out in my area.
  20. I have noticed some of our Florida members eat some of the fish they catch......so you better have a look at this. http://www.doh.state.fl.us/floridafishadvice/Final%202009%20Fish%20Brochure.pdf Remember these are "government guidelines" thus it is beyond me why they say its not safe to eat a bass over 14" from Everglades National Park, but say its alright to eat a Snook once a month.....that lives in the same body of water and possibly for longer periods than a 14" bass. Also may want to look at this explaining bioaccumalation of mercury studies. http://www.evergladesplan.org/pm/recover/recover_docs/map/MAP_3.6_Hg.pdf and to really open your eyes up you may want to consider what Mercury does to....drum roll please...HUMANS http://www.epa.gov/mercury/effects.htm#meth Most likely an occasional fish or two won't affect your health, but why risk it..?? Tight lines...now let me go out and catch some Pompano for dinner tonight
  21. Great time to buy, glad you were able to close in only 4 months! Make sure you get your tax credit ;D
  22. You are most likely seeing Blue Tilipia, Oreochromis aureus, beds. They are spawning big time right now! http://myfwc.com/WILDLIFEHABITATs/Nonnative_FW_BlueTilapia.htm I catch them with my cast net or using bread balls from around my fish feeder, and use them to fertilize my citrus trees ;D, supposedly they are good to eat, but I will not touch anything from local Florida canals, bioamplification you know
  23. Come to my backyard , I have them trained, but you are right most will not bite hook.
