Tackle Warehouse Demo Program
Good stuff! Ya know, I've been on TW probably a million times and never even knew about the demo program until I saw it tonight and clicked on it.

Tackle Warehouse Demo Program
Has anybody used this? Seems like a great way to test out multiple reels before you buy. You only pay the shipping charge, and you can get up to 4 reels (not sure if it's at a time, or total) to test out for a week. https://www.tacklewarehouse.com/demoprogram.html

Shimano Curado Spinning Rod Help
I can't speak on that specific rod. But I do have a 7'2" med/heavy fast Curado casting rod. And it's definitely a med/heavy action.

Latest Tackle Purchase Thread (Bait Monkey Victim Support Group)
TW has free shipping. And they don't jack the price of the rods up or anything like that. The retail prices are the same as other sites, including the one I mentioned.

Speaking of rod packaging. I was gonna order a rod a while back from a site I've never used before. They were gonna charge $8 for a rod tube to ship it in. Yeah, no thanks.

Best Jig Brands
How's the hookup ratio on those War Eagle jigs? The shank seems shorter than many others, at least from pictures. One thing I like about Siebert is how the hook sits at a 45 degree angle when the jig is on the bottom. Besides possibly helping with hook-ups, your craw/creature trailer sits up off the bottom, make it more enticing to the bass. It also looks more like a craw with it's pinchers up.

Hey, shhhh!! Don't give him any ideas. Another thing you may wanna consider is if you want rattles. I like mine with rattles if I'm fishing dirty/stained water.

Braided Line Cutter
No kidding? I have a heck of a time cutting braid with nail clippers. I do use toenail clippers for my other lines tho. This is what I use fro my braid.

FWIW, I talked to TW today. I asked the gentleman if they're going to have a sale for the Bassmaster Classic. He says yeah, probably in a month or two. I asked if he knew how much the sale is going to be. He said he's not sure, and to keep checking the site.

Not sure, but they used to. After doing some research I found that they had 25% off back in 2014. Doubt that's the case anymore.

Why is pork related fishing products no more?
Strike King Porko-O is still one of the best baits I've ever used. Wish they still made them.

I have 2 Dick's that are somewhat near me. One is pretty bad. It has one level. The other one has 2 levels and has a pretty decent selection. Nothing too crazy tho. You have Fleet Farms (not Farm & Fleet) down there? Ours up here are pretty impressive. Especially the newer ones.

Is rod sensitivity more about feeling bites or feeling bottom/structure?
Which is where the old adage comes into play for fishing- "What you don't know won't hurt you". Seriously though. Most of my "higher" end rods are between $150-$200 (but I wait for 20% off sales). I've been wanting to try an NRX for some time for jigs/t-rig. But man, that's a lot of coin. And like Fishin' Fool said, using one makes using your other rods less fun. I think that's my biggest worry.

Dobyns Rods
I bought the Dobyns Sierra 734 (w/ micro guides) when TW was having that big sale on them. I've yet to use it, but my plan was to use it for my jigs (3/8oz-1/2oz). Before I bought it I had heard good things. But now many in here are saying the sensitivity on the Dobyns aren't that great. Bummer if true. Suppose I can use it for other applications if that's the case. Last year I used a Curado rod (7'2" med/heavy) for my jigs. Anybody have any comparisons between that and the Sierras?

Agree. It's a shame what BPS has become. And now they're taking Cabela's down with them. I get 95% of my gear from TW nowadays.
