  1. You can always tell when winter is here. JT shows up on the forum. Good to see you back.
  2. I don't even try to keep up with what I spend in a year on fishing ( It's embarrassing ) But I know I help keep America going and the oil people too. Hey thats an idea, we could trade Baits for Oil.
  3. Does that unsinkable bulk headed flotation turn on a light? I have bass fished out of canoes before and it's ok, but you have always got to counter react to which way your partner is going to move. As far as modifying the canoe I don't know. I have always figured that the more stuff I have in one the more I have to get off the bottom of the lake. ;D I would probably invest my money in a bigger jon boat. With a jon boat you can always add a motor if you need to later on.
  4. Welcome aboard. This place is more than just a fishing forum it's an ADVENTURE. You should also post this in the General Bass Fishing forum.
  5. Ok I'm running 6 so what do I need to do to get to 7. I need this info in plan English from start to finish, no short cuts please. Picture instructions would be nice.
  6. When they were looking you should have just giving them the and then the But if they were older guys you should just let them look because thats all we can do know. ;D
  7. The only drawback I have seen is 4 o'clock in the morning and some guy has the ramp blocked with his boat sitting on the concrete about half way down the ramp. :-[
  8. I replace my batteries every December the 30th each year. I don't try to see how long I can keep a battery. This is just part of a scheduled maintenance that I do each year to ensure that my boat is in top performance condition for the up coming year. I have enough trouble trying to keep myself tuned up all year without having to worry about my boat. ;D
  9. Earl Benz is a very smart guy. He knows were the bread and butter is. They do more selling on the local level than touring with the pro's. Triton has signed a long contract to sponsor the ABA for the next several years. I don't quite like the new Black Gold. This cuts down on my potential winnings seeing that my boat is a 05. But I can still be happy with less contingency money.
  10. It's not good for him to push Frogtog. ;D
  11. What yall are doing is cruel and unusual punishment. You know that half of us didn't get the game, so we can't join in the argument.
  12. Obituary of the late Mr Common Sense Today we mourn the passing of a beloved old friend, Common Sense, who has been with us for many years. No one knows for sure how old he was, since his birth records were long ago lost in bureaucratic red tape. He will be remembered as having cultivated such valuable lessons as: Knowing when to come in out of the rain; Why the early bird gets the worm; Life isn't always fair; and Maybe it was my fault. Common Sense lived by simple, sound financial policies (don't spend more than you can earn) and reliable strategies (adults, not children, are in charge). His health began to deteriorate rapidly when well-intentioned but overbearing regulations were set in place. Reports of a 6 -year- old boy charged with sexual harassment for kissing a classmate; teens suspended from school for using mouthwash after lunch; and a teacher fired for reprimanding an unruly student, only worsened his condition. Common Sense lost ground when parents attacked teachers for doing the job that they themselves had failed to do in disciplining their unruly children. It declined even further when schools were required to get parental consent to administer Tylenol, sun lotion or a band-aid to a student; but could not inform parents when a student became pregnant and wanted to have an abortion. Common Sense lost the will to live as the Ten Commandments became contraband; churches became businesses; and criminals received better treatment than their victims. Common Sense took a beating when you couldn't defend yourself from a burglar in your own home and the burglar could sue you for assault. Common Sense finally gave up the will to live, after a woman failed to realize that a steaming cup of coffee was hot. She spilled a little in her lap, and was promptly awarded a huge settlement. Common Sense was preceded in death by his parents, Truth and Trust; his wife, Discretion; his daughter, Responsibility; and his son, Reason. He is survived by his 3 stepbrothers; I Know My Rights, Someone Else Is To Blame, and I'm A Victim. Not many attended his funeral because so few realized he was gone. If you still remember him, pass this on. If not, join the majority and do nothing.

Those sissies in Durham would probably open up a can of whoop bass on you. I watched them play the other night and they looked pretty good.
  14. Oh I'm not the only one that can't get the game?
  15. Unless you are sitting there with the gun in your hand, you won't stand a chance. When they come it happens so quick it catches you by surprise. You best have a gun with the serial numbers filed to put in his hand if he doesn't have one. Because if you shoot him you are going to be in big trouble. Just three months ago a 67 year old man and his wife were selling vegetables at a parking area that they go to each Friday. A 16 year old thug tried to still his cash box and grabbed his wife by the arm and the man grabbed a pistol from his truck and told him to back off, which he did and then put his hand in his pocket. That's when the old man shot and killed him. Last week they gave this 67 year old man 12 years in prison for Man Slaughter. This picture just doesn't sound right does it. What would you have done? We were all sure that he would be set free. But the judge would not let the jury find him not guilty as an option. They were instructed to find him guilty of 1st, 2nd degree murder or manslaughter. Half of eastern NC are protesting the verdict and trying to get what help we can to get it overturned. That gentleman had no idea when he left the house that morning that he would have to shoot somebody. So thank about it. I will let you know what the final out come is.
  16. I can't even get the game on my cable? > Pay a $100 a month and can't get a NFL game on Thursday night > I guess the NFL is going to be pay per view also Just wait till tomorrow I will have Direct tv
  17. The way things are going these days, you better have something to protect yourself with. Dadgum people are getting mean as hell. They will kill you for next to nothing. Then the courts do nothing about it. I can see us becoming vigilantes in the near future. You aren't going to have any choice but to do what you have to do. The law can not protect you. :-/
  18. Welcome aboard Gidget.

Look at the tail section on a shark, now look at the tail section of a dolphin. Not being a salt water man, I think a sharks tail fin runs straight up and down and a dolphin tail fin runs left to right is this correct. If not then correct me.
  21. That guy needs to get a hold of me, I can make him and myself very happy.
  22. Hatton in 8 and I don't even get to see it.
  23. I had a bass jump in my boat one time. ( and no I didn't weigh him in )
  24. I didn't hear a thing she said.
  25. I never leave home without my anchor. If you are on fish and the wind is blowing the anchor comes in handy.
