Those are definately some great looking fish, especiallly the cichlid! 8-) What other fish can you find there? Any bass in Chiapas? How do you catch those native species? I was in Yucatan and Quintana Roo and also in Belize, absolutely love the region! Comi mucho mole cuando estuve alli.

The bass I got on the Gan craft OSA 115. It weighs 46gr. (aprox. 1.6oz.). You're best bet to buy it, is on ebay. Here's one wich is not that expensive. Went to lake this afternoon for a couple of hours. After about 30 minutes I got a pretty good bass. The fish was blind in one eye! A few minutes later I got this big perch! What a surprise! 8-)

That thing is really fat! I'm surprised that fish got that obese in a river, usually river perch a very slim.

Never seen that bait before. I'm sure it would work though.

I agree! But then it also depends on the size of your hand. But I'm sure that fish is over 5lbs. Nice catch! 8-)

I thought I finally caught a 10lber. but it turned out to be carp! ;D The fish took a lucky "e" strike sneaky snake on a shakey head. Also caught a few bass with the gan craft osa 115. I love this bait! 8-) This one I got on berkley power worm 10" on a shakey head (yes it also works for bass ;D). Imakatsu hairy hawg. Biggest of the day, again with the osa 115.

Looks like a regular green sunfish (Lepomis cyanellus) to me. Your fish was caught after dark and alot of fish are lighter in color at night. Some have stripes and some don't.

Yup, pike are fun to catch! This 41" fish put up an aweseome fight on my spinning rod and 10lb. test. Also caught it while bass fishing on a megabass vision 110.

Just drop it on the ground a couple of times. ;D ;D Just kidding. I bought mine in Germany, could be a different model.
