  1. Firm believer in Shimano and IMHO the Symetre is the best choice for the money you have to spend... skillet BTW I own one (2500) and think it's great
  2. Glad you're home, safe and sound! Now, go out and up your PB !!! skillet
  3. LOVE me some Brush Hogs and Baby Brush Hogs!! Usually T-rigged, should make great trailer though... skillet
  4. CONGRATS Great feeling, huh!!! skillet
  5. Voted "all of the above". Don't post as much as most but still around. One of the few things that seems to keep me on the safe side of the RAGGED EDGE !!!! skillet
  6. :DBurley is my HERO ! As for the Citica 200 D, for the money they can't be beat. I own 2 of 'em and wish I had 2 more ... skillet
  7. Partial to a Devil's Horse myself. I have an older lure that used to be made by Luhr Jensen, Dalton Special. It is a walk the dog type bait with a single prop at the rear. Found out that the fellow that sold the rights to LJ is making them again under the name Skinny Water Sam. I had quit using the original for fear of losing it. I'll definitely be using the new one this year ... skillet
  8. Those are some nice fish! Haven't wet a line in a while myself, keep 'em coming... skillet
  9. LBH, DAAAAYYUUUUMMMM, what a BEAUTIFUL piece of machinery!!! Probably couldn't even afford insurance on it. Sure would like to borrow it for about a week though ;D ... skillet
  10. HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!! skillet BTW Sounds like you had fun !!!
  11. If you can get an onboard charger, they can charge multiple batteries. Don't know about other type (as far as multiplies). I went to Wal-Mart and got a Schumacker (old company) Ship'n'Shore. It starts out on a higher charge and then drops down auto. to trickle charge. About the best price I could find... skillet
  12. Redoing an aluminum bass boat. Upgrading to larger wire for TM and definitely adding circuit breaker... skillet
  13. If you put either color on the same bait in front of the same fish with the same presentation, I kinda doubt the outcome would be that different... skillet
  14. Pretty much what everyone else said. Have used X-Raps myself (and caught fish ). I think you done GOOD. Let us know... skillet
  15. Congrats! That's a memory that will stick with you for a while ...
  16. When I read the title and then the part about the "older gentleman", I was really expecting a different ending. Thanks for putting an exclamation point behind KISS. BTW with the newer jitterbugs being plastic and having rattles, I was also thinking about trying to find a wooden one on e-bay... skillet
  17. Lord knows I've had some issues with "Dancing on the Ragged Edge" so maybe it colored my tastes too much. At the age the band members were when that happened, can't see how it wouldn't permeate their music. I remember most folks at that age thinking that if not immortal at least they were invincible :-/... skillet
  18. Die-hard fan since early '72! One of my daughter's got the 40th anniversary set of "Piper at the Gates of Dawn" for me last Christmas. I returned the favor with the 2 CD "Pulse" to her for Christmas this year! She married a PF fan also . BTW I still have my copy of "Dark Side of the Moon" from when it first came out. Still has the poster of the 3 pyramids and the 2 PF stickers inside Would be really hard to choose a favorite "you target of far away laughter"
  19. Wasn't really a flyer that you could print off. Some kind of drawing or something. It's some kind of upgrade on my rewards card. I'll probably go to BPS Friday or Saturday and see what's going on. I hope it's on the up and up not just some way to get you to spend more money (like I really need reasons to spend more money at BPS )! Also, don't think it would be at all possible for me to walk into BPS and just buy a Coke and walk out . I can stand anything but temptation :-[!!! skillet
  20. "crepuscular" I get all warm and tingly when you talk like that ... skillet
  21. AAAAAAHHHHHHIIIIIIEEEEEEE!!!!!!!!!!! skillet
  22. Was wondering if anyone got a flyer from BPS in the mail. Being such a $$good$$ customer (don't tell the SWMBO) you get 500 bonus points if you buy something between such and such a date. Supposedly no minimum... skillet
  23. Jigs or crankbaits are pretty much the norm for cold weather, from what I've read. I tend to stay with soft plastics, T-rigged, or suspending crank like X Rap... skillet
  24. My boat is 14' with a 43 amp. TM. A member sent me a chart (you can teach an old dog new tricks, sometimes!) According to the chart a 6 guage would be the best. Even if I get rich and famous (at my age I need to hurry:D) and can upgrade, I should be OK. Another thing, when figuring the distance, count there and back. nick76 where did you get the in-line circuit breaker and where did you mount it? THANKS my friends!!! skillet
  25. Am redoing an aluminum bass boat that I got this Fall. The wire going up to the TM switch is #12. Could someone tell me what the largest TM this wire could carry a load for. At the point I'm at now, would be the easiest time to trade it out if need be. THANKS !!! skillet
