carpet glue
I've done cabinet work before. This included making counter tops, using plastic laminate and contact cement. Said all that to ask this. I have 3/4 of a 5 gal. can of contact cement left. Wondering if this will work with carpet. I know it would for indoor use, not so sure for a boat. Is there a cement made specifically for outdoor use? Thanks... skillet

Jeff Dunham
I was never too thrilled with ventriliquists until seeing him the first time. Like five.bass.limit said probably 20 years ago. If not mistaken, then it was only Peanut and Jose was new. The scary thing, when I look in the mirror and realize how much I've changed :(and Jeff Dunham looks pretty much the same ;D... skillet BTW saw Achmed for the first time about 6 mo. ago and thought I would hurt myself laughing

Help me to understand differences in line please
I use the KVD line conditioner when I respool with new line. Wind some line on and spray a little on line already reeled on. Reel some more and spray a little more. Do this maybe 3 times until reel is full. Night before fishing, I'll spray line pretty good. That way it dries really well before using ... skillet

Left-handed casting?
"What if the left cheek itches?? Can you reach it from the right??" Rooster If I wear a long sleeved shirt, it needs to be a 36" sleeve length. You be the judge !!! All rationalizing aside, it's how I first learned and haven't had a situation that showed me I need to change. There are lots of other things I need to change.....Just ask my wife

Left-handed casting?
I cast right-handed and then switch to retrieve: 1.Don't think I've ever had a fish hit the lure so soon after it hits the water that I couldn't set the hook. 2.Use both hands to set the hook so that isn't a problem. 3. Have a hard time scratching my butt with left hand :-[,so it's a lot better to work handle with right hand ;D... skillet

Help me to understand differences in line please
If you're going with copoly, try the Yo-Zuri ultrasoft. I used original Stren for more than 25 years before changing (actually still like it). Ultrasoft is a little more manageable than the hybrid,IMHO. The only drawback to it is the only place I've found to buy it is Cabela's. Another IMPO, which ever one you try get yourself a bottle KVD line conditioner. It really works ... skillet

Suggestion for a new forum
"Abus and Pfluegers don't break down as much as Shimanos" Micro Actually, I don't think they could get anybody to own up to repping for either co., let alone going public with it skillet

drop-shot knot
Have gotten the itch to try drop-shotting. You folks that use this technique, is the palomar knot best for the hook knot :-/? skillet

are worms and jigs enough or do i need a lot of other lures
There is something to be said for keeping it simple . There is also something to be said for having every lure in BPS catalog. It's all up to you. Me, I'm somewhere in the middle trying to get a few more techniques down pat ...

Cast Control Knob On Baitcast Reels Question
At one time I used 12lb CXX and when not in use always loosen drag on reels. Hope I'm not leading you astray but have never loosened or tightened cast control when not in use. Bought some little clip type things (real technical ain't I :-[) at BPS to hold line at end of rod or remove reel from rod and they hold the line at level wind. Usually put reels in covers (BPS) between trips. Hope I understood the question and helped ... skillet

Sad day
At least you got to see her! IMHO that's better than hooking one (maybe ) having it make a couple of good runs and then have the lure come sailing back at you at the speed of sound ... skillet

luhr jensen speed trap
Have never used the SpeedTrap, can't really help you there. Just wanted to say that those folks put out some great wooden lures in there day. I have one of their Dalton Specials that I had basically quit using for fear of losing it . Found a "Mom and Pop" type of baitshop while in FL that was selling wooden baits supposedly made by the fellow that sold out to Luhr Jensen. Can't verify it, this would make him older than dirt (my age )... skillet
