That is funny! I've never even seen the bass coming out of your window. Guess I've led a sheltered life :... As Ever, skillet
  2. They would have to be REALLY GREAT for me to give up on Super Flukes ... As Ever, skillet

Great intro and WELCOME to the forums!!! As Ever, skillet
  7. Also one of those that have always used the "short" rods. The only thing you might lose is a little distance. Depending on where you are fishing (how grown-up with weeds, trees and vegetation or size of pond or lake) you will be mighty glad to have shorter rods. As far as landing larger fish, I think there are some deep sea fishermen that might argue the point of longer rods. Bought a 6'6" Crucial lately and LOVE it but don't think it changed my mind on going longer. Like most things having to do with fishing, this is just one opinion ... As ever, skillet
  8. Don't use braid myself. I use the 6lb YZUS on my spinning rig and the 12lb YZUS on my baitcasters (REALLY like it!!!). Just a case of fishing differently ... As Ever, skillet BTW you can send any unused portion of those spools to an address I'll provide ;D
  9. A lot of coon hunters, here in the South, would like to know this ;D... As Ever, skillet

  14. I used to be a topwater fisherman :'(. I've tried so many times this year to get a topwater bite going, with NO success . Have even gotten on the water waaayy before sunrise...nothing, nada, zilch, zero . This from a guy that never met a topwater bait he didn't fall in love with immediately. Life is not like a box of chocolates. It's more like a Hoover vacuum cleaner......it sucks As ever, skillet BTW AC if you boil some water and use something to hold the frog in it to just passed the legs for about 30 sec. or little longer, it makes the legs a lot less stiff

First off, Thanks Everyone, for your responses ! Second, have not heard that before "dink magnet". I was under the impression that it is a pretty poplular tactic ... As Ever, skillet BTW don't think I could ever be a trophy fisherman only (not enough patience) but I catch enough small fish with BIG fish attitude . Don't need to target them ;D...
