G blank, Powell, Kistler, Shimano, Falcon, E21, American Rodsmiths, and more?
The only one I've had experience with is the Crucial. I bought one not too long ago and REALLY only have good things to say about it. It is a 6'6" M with XF tip. The lower lure weight rating is 1/4oz and lower line rating is 8lb. Plus it was right in the middle of your price range ($129) and a lifetime warranty. Haven't had it that long, like I said, so far it is everything I hoped. Have it paired with Citica 200D... skillet

What is a stick bait??
When I think of a stick bait, it would be something like a Devil's Horse. Hard bait for top water. DH has props on both ends. A number of folks have made baits like this with props on both ends, one end or none. As far as Senko style baits (to me) are more of a do nothing (at least not much) style. Jerk baits (hard or soft), just like their name implies are made to be fished really erratic. A series of jerks and pauses. Other opinions will come along soon ;D... skillet

F or XF for jig/worm rod?
Can't really tell you anything about those 2 rods :-[. Bought a Crucial not too long ago for plastics and small jigs (1/4-3/8) and made sure it had XF tip action... skillet

Travelin' Man (Fla.)
Thanks everyone! I got to try for Reds the last time I was there, caught 3 and by Red Fish standards they weren't hogs but was sure a lot of fun!!! A friend of my son-in-laws owns an air boat and was gonna take me for a ride and about 30 yds. down the canal it blew an oil line and guess who was sitting right in front of where it blew ! He said he would make it up to me if I ever got down that way again......but, I don't know... skillet

Which jerkbait do you think is the best
Voted X-Rap and do really like them but if Smithwick had better quality control would have voted different. I like the colors you can get in the Rogues but usually have to go thru a couple before I get one that suspends just right (obsessive compulsive disorder :-[)... skillet

Travelin' Man (Fla.)
I tried to get the Frapper Map to work for me , so I thought I would try this! Will be traveling to central Fla. soon. Planning on being there on the 27th of Oct. for birth of yet another Grandson (my daughters are really making me feel older and older ;D). I'm not sure how long we'll be there, at least a week and maybe 2. I was wondering if anyone wanted to show me what fishing in Fla. was like? Will be in Coco Fla, think it's about 45 min. East of Orlando. Guess that's really East Fla rather than central :-[. If anyones willing ( ) send me a PM... skillet

pop rivets
Catt, I got your "high tech" ;D! DADto4 if the millwrights don't know anyother way, there isn't one. I bought an older (real older) aluminum bass boat and was going to have to change out the wood and carpet. Sure hoped there was a better way to remove the pop rivets. Catt, I tried following up on the deal of finding who deals with the aluminum freeway signs (for a floor). Thought that was a GREAT idea. The people at the TDOT got tried of me, quick ;D. Traced them down to the salvage yard that has the state contract. Was told they had to ship them to the foundry and couldn't sell to the public . I bet if I knew somebody that knew somebody that had an uncle who....... ;D! Graft and corruption makes the world go round ... skillet
