  1. Am the world's worst about " if it works , why change". If I buy something to replace a rod, reel, bait, knife or pretty much anything, the original has to be broke, completely worn out or lost. It's not a "spending money" thing, 'cause money burns a hole in my pocket as fast as the next guy. Have always been that way about things... As Ever, skillet
  2. 51% Right 50% Left One of the catagories that I "should" be good at was craftsman. Have done cabinet work most of my life. Guess it's a paranoia thing about someone being able to pigeon-hole you but that was scary ... As Ever, skillet

I have Sirius with my small dish package for the TV and route it thru my speakers. Sounds great to me but then again I remember sitting in 4th row aisle seats for an Alice Cooper Concert in front of the left bank of speakers ... As Ever, skillet

  11. Have a number of friends with (or had :'()'67-'72 Chevy Pick-ups. When one of these trucks get stolen and found, they take everything including glass and doors. Then the tow co. gets in the act. They got you coming and going >... As Ever, skillet

  14. Have worked with my hands all my life and am REAL right handed. Can't find my butt with my left hand ;D! Yet, it is unbelievable how comfortable that reel is in my left hand and crank with my right. Go figure ! What Crestliner said makes sense, have always palmed my reel no matter what type of bait I use... As Ever, skillet
  15. Have heard lots of folks from up North talking about them. We don't have them around here... As Ever, skillet BTW Thanks...
  16. When I was a whole lot younger and thought I was immortal or at least going to live forever ;D, pulled quite a few dumb stunts. One (did this way more than once) of the dumbest was going wadeing while Bream fishing with old pair of tennis shoes, cut off jeans and T-shirt. To make matters way worse when I would catch fish I'd put them on a stringer tied to one of my belt loopes and keep fishing. That was just asking for Mr. No-Shoulders to come bite me. Adding insult to injury, was usually way out in someone's North Forty where I'd have to walk a long ways back to my truck and then drive somewhere to get some help. This lasted until just after I was married and "She Who Must Be Obeyed" showed me an article on snake bites that had pics. like these. Kind of took all the fun out of wadeing for some reason . BE CAREFUL!!! As Ever, skillet
  17. What kind of fish is it? Nice looking... As Ever, skillet
  18. :-*LOVE :-* my 200D Citica! Almost positive they have a lefty :-/. If you are using an older Curado (never used one myself), have read that the "new" Citica is at least a match for it in performance and maybe more... As Ever, skillet
  19. TRT, I'm 6'4" around 200lbs. and have hands and fingers to go with the body. Can't palm a basketball but almost. Could palm a round reel. IMHO it makes no difference, as long as there are low profile reels I'll be using them . I can almost hide my Citica in my hand. Don't need the line capacity. Try one, they are GREAT.... As Ever, skillet BTW JMO...

Something else I'll throw in here: All Spooks have rattles in them now whereas (Wow, never got to use that word before ;D) the originals didn't. Any thoughts on this... As Ever, skillet

While reading the post "RELIGION vs. POLITICS" and it got off into Oz, it reminded me. I sure would have liked to hear Jerry Lee sing "Somewhere Over the Rainbow" at his awards ceremony the other night. Hard to visualize him singing a song like that. Sure glad he got the recognition he deserved ... As Ever, skillet
  22. Being from the Southern side of the Mason-Dixon line, have never heard or read a discourse like this without one side bringing up the word "racist". Thanks to all. Muddy, If you get choked up over "The Night They Drove Old Dixie Down" you can imagine what it does to folks down here :'(... Fergit, Hell skillet
