  1. Definitely useing! Too me, most shopping is like a search and destroy mission: You know your objective. You get in, complete your objective, and get out with as few casualties as possible ... As Ever, skillet
  2. Mostly pond small lake fisherman myself . WELCOME to the forums!!! As Ever, skillet
  3. Definite case of his eyes being bigger than his stomach (or mouth) . Kind of like the little Chickenhawk and Foghorn Leghorn on the Warner Bro's cartoons... As Ever, skillet BTW probably my favorite cartoon character, Foghorn Leghorn ;D

LBH, Wouldn't worry about the first request being selfish, the second canceled anything like that out. Thoughts, hopes and wishes to you and your friends... As Ever, skillet
  5. In this day and age I think most industries from banking to car dealerships to fishing tackle are owned or run by a select few of giant mother companies ... As Ever, skillet
  6. I guess when something works you keep quiet and use it . My problem is trying to get away from them ;D... As Ever, skillet BTW Glad you got the hang of them. GREAT, aren't they?

A friend of mine and I was talking about Lucky 13 and I said I had never owned one and didn't really know how to work one. They've been around a while. Anyone ever own and use one, and how do you work one ??? As Ever, skillet
  8. ;DI think that punchline was the last thing I would have thought of ;D... As Ever, skillet
  9. You can run into bitter people at any age. If you can get past the fact that most fishermen are liars, you can hear some great stories and pick up really GREAT info. Bass Pro and all the rest of the huge fishing stores sure serve a good purpose but I sure miss all the Mom & Pop bait shops from when I was younger (beginning to think I never was). Man, the stories and downright lies I remember hearing. Now I have become one of those Old F**ts I used to stand in awe of ;D... As Ever, skillet
  10. WELCOME to the forums!!! IMHO Bass are probably getting away from the dog days. When the weather starts cooling down they start eating better until cold weather when they slow down because of their metabolism. Along with spinnerbaits you might try any other baits you feel comfortable with. Good time of year here in the South... As Ever, skillet

Avid, It might be that I just can't see it in the first pic. Did you take the prop off the front end? I have sure heard a lot of folks swear by it... As Ever, skillet BTW nice fish, GREAT pic of Norma Jean ...
  12. The 3 bladed Strike King is really slow. Can almost make it gurgle like a Jitter Bug (key word being almost ). Have never fished a Cavitron. Fixin' to remedy that. They are supposed to open a Dick's here real soon (next couple of weeks) and I think they carry them... As Ever, skillet
  13. No. 3 Mepps was the first bait I used for Bass fishing. Every now and then I'll still tie one on. I like the No.3 or 4 bucktail (sometimes white) with silver or bronze blade. Great bait with 2 exceptions: Will get hung on anything within 5 ft. ;D and if the fish has any real size to it, they will get into their gills way too often ... As Ever, skillet BTW seems to work better in ponds and small lakes...
  14. Either Brush Hog or little brother, GREAT baits. Partial to Green Pumkin or Watermelon Seed. 1/8 to 1/4 oz. weight, T-rigged. Fished really slow... As Ever, skillet
  15. One Tequlia, Two Tequlia, Three Tequlia, Floor ... As Ever, skillet
  16. Road Warrior gave a great reply and WELCOME to the forums!!! As Ever, skillet
  17. I'm mostly a bank fisherman and just don't need anything else to carry around (at my age ;D). Do any of you spray a little in the bags or pretty much after putting the bait on the hook? Thanks... As Ever, skillet

Seriously, "Thanks" are always appreciated but kind of unnecesary in this part of the forums. All of us here have been sitting in the same boat at one time or another. I'm just glad this Dr. seems proactive instead of waiting to see what happens next... As Ever, skillet
  19. WELCOME to the forums!!! As Ever, skillet
