when a warranty is a joke
I think 3 years is good. I have a couple rods that I don't use more than a few times a year, and just last month one of the eyes came loose, after only throwing it maybe 50 times in a 2 year period. After looking at the eyelet, it looks like the thread was not that tight, but I'm not a rod repair expert.

reaction vs bottom contact rods
I had 3 Tatula rods, the original black and gold version. I liked them, but found them to be just a bit less vibrant compared to some of my other rods when bumping structure or figuring out what the lure was bumping on the bottom. I like the Tatula elites a little more, and the AGS version as much as my GLX, and Orochi XX. So I guess what I'm trying to say is, the OG Tatula are very good rods, especially at $100 when they were marked down for discontinued clearance, but there is room for improvement if your budget allows for it.

Are Yeti Coolers Worth The Money?
I got the Yeti tank 85, and I think it's a great product and worth the price. We had a 4th of July weekend crabfeast/BBQ and I put a keg in it at 1PM in the shade on a hot and humid day, uncovered. Guests arrived at 4PM and the keg was frigid. The next day at 11AM when I got around to cleaning up, it still had a good amount of ice in it.

Using my 6’ casting rod again
I have a 6' M/F Cabela's Tourney Trail just sitting around, I think I'll put a reel on it and take it out for a whirl this evening....this thread inspired me!

Best small and light baitcaster?
The Curado DC version is larger (width), but it's only on the handle side, so it really doesn't impact the palming side. Curado 70 would fit the bill too.

If you're left handed, this guy is selling what looks to be a great condition Curado K 6.2:1 for a very good price.

Take my money
I'm getting one just to put it on a rod and reel and throw it around from behind bushes during BBQ's.

What's midrange mean to you, dollar wise? Also are you looking for spinning or casting reels?

Bass Pro Shops sells 11 Cabela’s stores
I think it's implied in the disclosure in the article that it was a sale-leaseback transaction, which would be discovered if reading just beyond the headlines. I think it's low hanging fruit to expect an outdoor news website to definitively report a financial related transaction. Sure, the headline is not precise, but as you stated it's not entirely untrue either and is more factual than our state run news media outlet. Trailer park business models seem pretty good to me. Buy the land, don't have to worry about upkeep of the trailers. Charge rent, utilities, provide overpriced services, I like it.

Bass Pro Shops sells 11 Cabela’s stores
I stated that BPS would continue to operate the stores, which is also from various other financial related sources. No buyer would only want to purchase the land without the building. Once the lease term expires, if the lessor still owned the building, it would essentially render the land useless. This what K-Mart did when they sold off their real estate and stores, but leased them back to continue operating to avoid bankruptcy (to no avail).

Bass Pro Shops sells 11 Cabela’s stores
The land and stores were sold, the inventory was not. It seems to be a 25 year leaseback that monetized their last real estate holding (acquired from Cabela's) and BPS will continue to operate the stores. From what I can gather, no BPS stores are on properties that they own, but they're privately held so I don't know for sure. It's a 25 year leaseback. All B.P. is doing is monetizing real estate they acquired from Cabela's because they're in the business of selling retail at 50-60% margins. The article never said they are changing operators or closing. Posting isnt what it used to be.

Tatula Rod
I wouldn't hesitate to buy from a third-party seller on Walmart's site if they adhere to Walmart's merchandise/return policy. I've done it before and I've had no issues.

Daiwa Reel Warranty
I use non-residue electrical tape for my shallow spools, and mono for backing for my larger spools.

Jerkbait Setup
I use a 7' ML/R Daiwa Cronos and a Tatula SV TW. I throw 1/4oz-3/8oz jerkbaits mainly. The rod also doubles as my light duty shallow cranking rod. Give the LRS a chance, can't hurt to see.

Rod and line for casting a Deeper Pro+?
I use a 6'6 Berkley Big Game rated 1-4oz, and 50lb KastKing braid (it's what I had on a back up reel). Basically I just lob cast it, sometimes I just throw it like a baseball if it's in close quarters to brush or trees.
