@Kirtley Howe, I'm assuming that @Jig Man is talking about the clearance/outlet store next door to the BPS in Springfield. @Mobasser, it's good to hear that this young man is staying afloat. Good customer service is where it's at. If he continues with that, he'll be successful.
  2. Welcome to BR from southern Arkansas! I have fond memories of the lakes and rivers in northern Michigan. Caught my first smallie, and my only northern Pike up there in the early 70's.
  3. I love Bill Dance, met him a couple of times. Such a great guy, been a fan since I was a kid. Go Big Orange!
  4. You sir, are a smart man. I had regulars too. Most would call to if/when I would be on duty. I'd love to own one of those machines.
  5. @MN Fisher, thank you Ken! @gimruis, Just be sure and get an experienced associate to do your spooling! I can't tell you how many times some of our newer associates would spool a spinning reel backwards.
  6. I'm with you @ol'crickety, I pretty much own every lure known to mankind, always purchased in quantities of 2 or 4. So much so they won't fit into my boat. I tend to fish the same thing, what I have confidence in, over and over. Of course one has to ask themselves the question, how do you gain confidence in lure X or presentation Z if you never give them an honest chance. Who knew bass fishing had such a dynamic?
  7. And everyone say.........Amen! I couldn't agree more.
  8. Show off! Just kidding Ken, like @islandbass requests, do share the details. Pretty please
  9. I've got Millennium seats in my 16' Jon and love them. Comfortable and the mesh allows for air movement. I highly recommend them!
  10. If I'm not mistaken, Mann's also owned a company called Southern Plastics. They made house brand soft plastics for BPS and other retailers.
  11. I agree with you. As much as I hate to say it, pretty much anything that Pradco touches turns to crap. I used to be a huge Bandit fan, not so much anymore. Used to be great straight out of the package. Now you have to buy six lures in hopes of getting two the run straight. Hook quality is lacking too.
  12. Great news @Hammer 4! Thank you for sharing this update.
  13. I agree with you @A-Jay. Typical mlf behavior.
  14. Happy Independence Day ????

I know what they are, and what they're made of but I don't care, hot dogs are one of my favorite foods. I prefer a Nathan's or Hebrew National, but they're all good. I could eat more than two in 10 minutes, but like my friend @MN Fisher, that's all I'm going to eat. My favorite way to eat them is either a chili dog or a slaw dog.
  16. Like @roadwarrior alluded to, it's definitely the B.A.S.S. Bassmasters Classic. Everything else pales in comparison. There have been tournaments that paid more, but every professional angler wants to be in, and win the Classic.
  17. That's mount looks great, well done!
  18. I'm with @JMac603! I don't like floro either, got rid of it. Other than one rod with braid on it, I'm 100% mono. That rod will be mono to as soon as it's time to swap out the braid. Mono with a palomar has served me well for decades.
  19. @A-Jay According to this past Mondays Low Budget Live (Luke Dunkin), they're still reviewing footage. Luke's guest was James "Worldwide" Watson. James said that they (mlf) stated in the pre-tournament meeting that anyone cheating would be penalized. One angler apparently attempted to apologize for his actions and was made to sit down and be quiet (my word's, not James or Luke). You should look up the podcast and give a listen. Sounds like things got a little heated.
  20. Congratulations to LSU and all of the LSU fans. They were a force to be reckoned with this year.
  21. I'll be praying for Eric and his family.
  22. Nice ride Koz! My step-daughter has a Bronco and absolutely loves it. Have you thought about buying a used jet ski or small boat trailer? You can find them fairly cheap if you look around. Easily modified into a yak trailer. I just finished modifying a used small jon boat trailer for my neighbor. He paid $50.00 for the trailer, maybe another $300.00 for stuff (tires, bearings, bunks, winch, trailer jack, lights, paint, etc). I didn't charge for my labor, he's my neighbor. Now he's got one sweet canoe trailer.
  23. Rolling out of bed with nothing hurting is a start. Just getting to go fishing is a good day. Catching a few no matter the size is a great day!
  24. I'll have to check. I know that the first one didn't have pods. Counting the jet jet rig that he has now, I think that there have been three generations. Edit, @Darnold335 have detailed pictures of the first two generations. I checked and neither have pods. They both did have adjustable trim tabs, looks like they're electric. I moved out of east TN before I could get pics of the jet rig, it might have pods. I know that there's YouTube videos about it.
  25. It wouldn't be cheap, but you could always do like Ott Defoe did on his 17' custom Tracker River rig. On one of the rigs, he installed a regular jack plate. Behind it, a hydraulic jack plate. That was on the boat that was outlawed.
