Gutter Cleaning
I know, it's nuts. I get nervous every time we have a tornado watch, full blown pucker factor of 100% with a tornado warning! I live 9 miles from the Louisiana border. It's flat here, very few have basements.

Dude, I agree with you! I miss having a basement too.

Gutter Cleaning
I don't know the brand name, but I put gutter guards from Lowe's on my last house in TN. They were white in color, came in 3' sections. One side slide under the bottom shingles approx. 4". The other side was contoured to fit over the outer edge of the gutter. Secured it with self tapping, hex head sheet metal screws. Worked great. I think that material's were around $100.00 at the time. Took about four hours to do a 3000 square foot home. Leaf Guard wanted around $2000.00 to install their product on the house. Funny thing, I have noticed since moving to southern Arkansas, few homes have gutters.

Bass Pro Rain Gear!
I've got two of the 100 mph rain suits, one I wear and a back up. Love them. I will say this, they're pretty warm to wear in the summer. I even purchased the cold weather liner for the rain jacket and the gloves.

Co-polymer vs flouro.
When I got serious about bass fishing, my next door neighbor was a guide and fished what now is the B.A.S.S. Opens, no idea what they were called in the early 80's. One of his sponsor's was SilverThread co-polymer line so I got all I wanted for free. I used it on my spinning and baitcasting tackle with zero issues. I've done the same thing that you've done except I'm swearing off all floro. I'm going to order some McCoy and Yozuri copolymer line and see which one I like best.

SPRO BBZ-1 Trout Tail Replacement
Have you called Spro? I know that it's old school, but it works sometimes. I called Spro years ago about an issue I was having. They were very responsive and helpful.

AMEN!!! Nothing like an old school catalog! Other than shopping at mom and pop shops, I rarely look anywhere other than BPS (catalog and online).

Old man drinks...
Started with Chavis Regal scotch, processed to The McCallan scotch usually straight, sometimes on ice always with a good cigar. For beer, I'm not much of a craft beer type. Started with Bud, went to Bud Light, now it Ultra

Favorite cut of steak/beef
Probably should be a separate topic, but the best steak (and most expensive) that I ever had was at the Ruth's Chris Steak House in Knoxville, TN. Absolutely melted in my mouth. If you're going to the Classic and have some extra folding money, go there.

Medium rare N Y strip for me. I don't believe I've ever had a Porterhouse.

Postal service
Here in our little town the USPS is great! When our normal carrier is out the reserve guy actually gets our mail to us earlier. The only real issue that I've had is a package was destroyed, including some of it's contents. I sent pictures to the seller and he made it right. Winter before last, we got 6" of snow and extremely cold weather for a week. Our mail didn't run for the week as we have no snow plows, salt trucks, etc. Where I live the snow rarely sticks.

Grundens Seaknit shoes
No, I went with the dark gray with orange laces. I'm going to order an orange pair at the end of the month!

Grundens Seaknit shoes
Okay, I've had my SeaKnits for about two weeks now. I've worn them almost every day and love them! They are very supportive for all day wear. I can't say that my doesn't hurt at all anymore, but I can say that the pain is diminished a lot. I highly recommend them.

Still Just as Intense
I'm a very reserved person and much prefer quite. That said, I love Ike and celebrate his passion. He is a super nice guy, met him twice. Back around 1998, maybe '99, my youngest son and I went to the Bassmasters University event in Nashville. Ike could not have been any kinder or respectful, especially with my son.

Eye popping numbers
I noted while going through my new BPS master catalog that there were several Ranger models in it. The Z521R anniversary edition was (cough) $109,995.00! The Z520R anniversary edition was $104,995.00! Both boats had Mercury 250's and two power poles, looked to have Minn Kota T/M's, not sure about electronics. These boat prices are nuts. P. T. Barnum was right.

I'm with you, I hate stuff laying around unorganized. When I was tournament fishing, I pretty much had a back up rod and reel for every one in the boat. I know, I'm crazy but I'm good with it. Same reason I buy baits 2 or 4 at a time per color and size. Anyway, I've since given away all of my spare rods and reels other than one reel. As an aside, I once bought an entire box (12) of H20 Express craw colored crankbait's. The main reason was because they couldn't keep them in stock. I was there the day they got a shipment. Told the guy I wanted all of them. Both he and my ex-wife said "all of them?".

I've got one old reel left that I would trade in. The only thing that they check is if the handle turns, usually they don't even do that. @FrnkNsteen, you're correct about the discount. However, if the rod that you want is on sale, they discount it even further with the trade. You can save more than the 15%. And, like you, I keep my better stuff as back ups or to give to family and friends.
