  1. Great looking rig, congratulations!
  2. I listen to Luke Dunkin's Traveling Circus, Mercer religiously and Dale Jr religiously.

I'm pretty much a Gamakatsu guy. That said, I have used Academy's H20 hooks and BPS hooks before with excellent results from both.
  4. I had her life sized poster on the back of my bedroom door as a teen. Man, she was beautiful! RIP Raquel Welch.

Congratulations! I took hope that he does well. My closest mom and pop shop is 40+ miles away.

So you're saying that @A-Jay isn't bringing down balloons to protect Lake Menderchuck?
  7. Probably won't happen as he said that this season is his last. But I would like to see him return to the B.A.S.S. Elite Series to finish his career where it started. Nothing but respect for him and his accomplishments.
  8. I've always put just a small dab or two (scientific measurement) of reel grease on gears. Reel oil on everything else. This has worked great for me for years. Year before last I started using Lucas reel oil and grease. Saw a Randy Blauket video not to long back saying that he only uses reel oil on everything. I found it interesting, but it didn't sway my opinion.
  9. Ain't that the truth!
  10. Shot down another one over Lake Huron about an hour ago. WTH
  11. Looks great! I bet you get asked that question a bunch this coming spring and summer.
  12. I've never even heard the term "high pressure or low pressure knot"! Since I started serious bass fishing 40 years ago, I've only used a palomar or a Trilene knot. As far as I can remember, have never experienced a knot failure.
  13. That is one sharp rig! What color is that? Looks like copper in the photo. I really like it.
  14. How long do they sit in the ice water? Is it dependent on the athlete's injury?
  15. I had the Harbor Freight steel version folding trailer. I built mine to not fold. Any way, had it for year's and I never upgraded the bearings. Installed "Bearing Buddies" and kept them greased. Every other year I would clean the bearings and repack them. After a few years I did upgrade the tires from 8" to 12". I hauled that thing all over east TN with either my kayak, mine and a buddies kayaks or my old Sun Dolphin American 12 jon boat. Never once gave me a problem. When I moved to Arkansas I pulled it with my boat and kayak on it. Again, no problems. The people that I sold it to have pulled it to Florida and back twice loaded with their kayaks and camping gear. They experienced zero problems too. Hope that helps.
  16. For me it's spy baits. I've got several, by all of the top manufacturers. I'll take the hit, but I haven't caught a thing using them.
  17. I just don't think that I could do it. Never say never, but I just don't know.
  18. I've got one of those too. I lost all of my racing trophies, some tools and other miscellaneous stuff. I picked up four bags of green pumpkin @ $1.50 each.
  19. I used to only wear Columbia PFG, but stopped due to their politics. I still wear what Columbia I had, but no longer purchase their products. I like HUK pretty well and plan on trying Simms this summer. I've also purchased BPS's Worldwide Sportsman, Academy's Magellan and Realtree clothing with excellent results, pricing and durability. I will say that the Worldwide Sportsman stuff is initially pretty doggone stiff but loosened up when washed a couple of times.
  20. I've got plenty that I would like to say but Glenn and the moderator's wouldn't be very appreciative. Plus I don't want to be given a time out.
  21. Congratulations on your new rig!
  22. A lot of people get old boat trailers and modify them. I used to see them all the time a couple hundred bucks. Changing bearings is an easy job, be sure and wear latex gloves! A little sanding and paint, PVC pipe for bunks, tires and lights and your good to go I had a Harbor Freight trailer and it was great. I pulled all over east TN without issue. When I moved from east TN to south Arkansas, the trailer made the trip with no problem. The people that I sold it to have pulled around here and to Florida twice, no problem's. I never upgraded the bearings, but I did go up from the 8" tires to 12" tires. If you're not going long distances, the 8's would probably be fine. I added LED lights too.
  23. I'm praying for all of you guys up that way. I've delt with -20 (actual temp) before, not fun.
  24. I use Lucas grease for boat trailers. Get it at Walmart.
