  1. The 7 1/2" Salty Ring Tail is Catt's #1 bait if that means anything to you. He fishes them, generally, with a 1/4 oz weight, unpegged. Most of his success is on structure in deeper water. Food for thought? 8-)
  2. You can catch them on a lot of baits, but crickets are a sure-thing. 8-)
  3. So, do you want 45 bags and 45 badges, too? I will have the name tags complete for those that are registered, the others can simply write their names out, it's no big deal.
  4. I agree! Goodnight Irene -Kent a.k.a. roadwarrior Global Moderator
  5. Okay, just trying to lighten up the discussion, not really using this to prove a point, but it is entertaining: http://www.freedom2choose.info/smokers.php 8-)
  6. I fish some extraordinarily deep water at Bull Shoals using Lucky Craft Pointers. Although the water is deep, that doesn't mean the fish are down there. Generally, find the baitfish and you have found the predators. 8-)
  7. Welcome back! 8-)
  8. Hmm... Ever eat a double cheeseburger with Biggie fries and a Coke? At least around here, if we taxed fat people per pound overweight, our budgets would never be in deficit. Fat is a much bigger health concern than smoking. :
  9. Find another $20: http://www.***.com/descpageRLCSHIMANO-SCRE.html I don't like braid and I think line visibility is very important fishing jerkbaits. Go with something matching the water (Yo-Zuri Hybrid) or fluorocarbon line. 8-)
  10. Fish Chris, Well, I'm glad you're back and speaking for everyone on this Forum, we NEVER tire of your posts! As for me, a combination of factors have kept me away from the river this winter, so I have nothing to report. I am looking forward to Kentucky Lake in a couple of weeks. We should have a lot of nice pics posted shortly and maybe a few will be brown fish! 8-)
  11. Welcome aboard! 8-)
  12. The 1/8 and 1/4 oz size: http://www.panthermartin.com/lures/Spinners/Regular.aspx For some reason the black with chartreuse spots, gold blade, works best for me. 8-)
  13. The Stradic 2500FI has a waterproof drag. I think it's just what you need! http://fish.shimano.com/publish/content/global_fish/en/us/index/products/reels/spinning/Stradic_FI.html 8-)
  14. Yeah, yeah, yeah... ;D ;D Fish what you are comfortable with. I prefer 7' rods for the most part, but my dedicated jerkbait/ topwater rod is 6 1/2' (Avid AVC66MF). Shorter rods are easier "to work", but longer rods add distance to your cast and may be of some advantage in setting the hook. 8-)
  15. Baby Paca Craws are excellent jig trailers. Full size Craws work great on the Evolution Shak-E2. 8-)
  16. Here's a start: http://www.hookedonbass.com/FISHREPORT.htm 8-)
  17. Welcome aboard! 8-)
  18. Hmm... Seems that is the only Shimano on your list. 8-)
  19. Don't know about the 784, but the GLX MBR844C is the standard by which all others are measured. I have other favorite rods, but this is my FAVORITE. 8-)
  20. In years gone by I forwarded some of these to the FBI, but they never responded or followed-up with me. Now I just pass over them.
  21. Thirty-three years in banking/ investment banking. 8-)

  23. Stocker trout: Panther Martin; original Floating Rapala, Countdown and X-Rap. 8-)
